Being a Brit abroad I wanted to try as many new experiences as possible. This included trying new foods. I was vaguely aware of the chain Popeye's Chicken and I was in the area so thought I would check it out. Plus it was raining and I wanted somewhere to dry out. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was not very busy in the restaurant. I did not have too long to wait to order my food. Unlike other restaurant chains they do not have touch screen panels that you can use to order your food. You get to speak to a human being which I much prefer. I ordered a blackened chicken meal and rice and beans and paid for my meal. I did not have too long to wait for my food to be ready and it was hot and the chicken sandwich was really tasty. Also I got to experience a biscuit. This is not like a biscuit you would get in the UK. It was like a flattened savoury scone (if you've been to the UK you will know what I am talking about) which was interesting to try. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was clean and tidy. I would visit again.

Terrible service and workers I asked for a large fry originally but then asked for a small (this was prior to paying) and the worker told me no and that I’m getting a large fry and made me pay for this. Also whilst i was waiting a long time for my food one of the workers yelled at a man for sitting and eating his food claiming that the mall was closing and he needed to “get out of there”.

Chicken always tastes fresh and we normally got our orders fast. 100 times better than the Newport Mall location. If you are in the area, make sure to go to this location, instead of the Newport Mall one.

I attempted to place an order and because i was 1 penny short of my total they wouldnt allow the order to go through. Poor customer service on the cashier & the manager that she asked if he would allow it. This was my first time here as a customer & will definitely be my last. I would not recommend anyone to this popeyes location. I was a cashier in my teenage years at a supermarket and we would allow 1 penny go especially when some customers let the store have that extra penny they get in their change!

I will never order delivery from here again. I ordered the surf n turf limited edition meal with Cajun fries, two sauces, and a sweet tea. I got NO fries, NO sauces, and a disgusting Sprite that was halfway filled in the cup. I tried to call the store to complain repeatedly but it was busy each time. Never again.
Very bad customer service. The staff is very unfriendly and rude. I ask for two things that should be included on my combo and they just gave a really bad look.

Pretty good. Coming from NZ where we have our own chains of fried chicken I was interested to try what was on offer. The chicken is moist and reasonably tender and the crunch is really good. Flavour probably falls a fraction short of ideal but still good. The biscuits here are insane though. Really awesome.

The food is fine. It’s what you get at Popeyes. The service is so bad! And I always wait forever for the food. I understand if they’re busy and short staffed, I will need wait a bit. I waited at other locations too. But in this one, everyone else after me got their food before me!And remember to check your order because surely they will messed up! One time they gave me 3 chicken instead of 5. The other time they forgot a sandwich! I tried to call them but no answer. And no solution once you left the store.They absolutely don’t give any condiments, napkins unless ask too. And very stingy!

I am a fan of Popeyes in general... but not this one... perhaps the worst Popeyes I have ever been in... food always takes forever... this is definitely NOT fast food... my last visit took 35 min to get a 10 piece meal... and the management could not even apologize, they were just like "you can wait" what an embarrassment... take your business to another franchisee who actually cares...
