ignore their 4 star rating - not worth the money. all of our food was consistently not good, took forever to come out, and is of poor quality. the bread and butter that u have to PAY for was probably from the grocery store (butter was unsalted and rock hard). the rest of our meal was just as disappointing. we wanted to let our waiter know but he kept cutting us off to give excuses about the “family-style” serving of the restaurant and how we should’ve spoken up sooner :(

my friend got assaulted here TWICE and the security was told but nothing was done. places like these need to take this shit more seriously, it’s unbelievable that it can’t be a safe space bc of weird men.

Excellent Italian
The Manager Oli was absolutely amazing!! They had an issue with their Ovens and we were waiting a bit but took care of us without saying a word. The guys was absolutely amazing and extremely professional. I would recommend this place to everyone. The pizza was also extremely good. 10/10!

We have had our Christmas party there two years in a row. We rented out the entire place. The place is really cool inside and the food is surprisingly a notch above. In Jersey you expect Italian food to always be tasty but it’s usually on the same level as its contemporaries. Both times I went I was surprised by how good it was.

Porta has solid pizza and meatballs any day of the year, with plenty of space for friends and family to come join you, but the best is getting our yule tree here every year right after Thanksgiving 🌲 Pizza and a Porta Tree has become a beloved tradition in my household!
We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at Porta and had the best time! The food was delicious, service was great, and working with Samantha to plan the event was such a joy. Our guests loved the rooftop view and vibes. It was such a memorable night thanks to the entire Porta staff!

Went to a private event, a little crowded for the room, but everything was great.

Amazing food! Really good ambience, you have vegan and vegetarian options both. Pizza is amazing, they have the classic way of baking with wood and fire and it was TASTY AFFFF

Terrible. I asked for my tab to be on a separate tab and the bartender at the bottom floor said I have anxiety.

My husband and I booked Porta for our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks a month ago. Porta was super easy to work with, helped us figure out an event flow, food and beverage menu, etc. that worked for us. Our family loved the food too and we had so much left over our guests got to take it home! The rooftop is where we had our event and it was the perfect space for a large dinner & party.

Food and service is consistently good here, but I’m writing a review to say how great the manager John is and how well he runs the restaurant. It’s Halloween, one of their busier nights; the floor was full; they were closing certain sections; we had been waiting and they could have said, ‘sorry, come back,’ but John the manager found a way to accommodate us and make us feel appreciated as customers when it could have been expedient to do the opposite. Total aces.

When we arrived, there was no host to greet us so we were confused on where to sit. A waitress cleaning another table saw us and made a rude comment saying “you can’t sit here with no host” and we stated there’s no host. We also saw a roach running on the floor”. I do not recommend this place at all and is overpriced as well.

They don’t seem to care about reservations. We waited for a table 30mins past our reservation. No updates or apologies from anyone in that time. Never got to actually taste any of the food, but will not go back with that (lack of) serve and courtesy.
We had a 5:15p reservation. Arrived a couple mins before the time and were given two options: 1. Vacate our table in 45mins or 2. wait 15mins for another table. We chose #2 as we had our toddler with us and 45mins was going to be tough to be done in.
We left after waiting at the bar for 30mins past our reservation time (right next to the hostess stand mind you). Not a single employee approached us in that entire time to provide any updates, even after we were waiting past the 15mins we were told.
What is the point of having a reservation if they treat you as a walk in anyways.
May Update: In February I reached out to the owner as they requested and offered to provide any additional info. Haven’t heard back in 3 months. Wanted to post this for transparency and awareness as the reply from the owner makes it seem like they actually care.
