Walked in for desert, after having had dinner nearby. The server was visibly irritated and was discourteous in his choice of words and tone of voice that we had simply come by for one quick desert rather than a full course dinner. We ordered the rasmalai which traditionally has flavors of cardamom, cinnamon, and saffron but tasted quite literally like old, curdled milk that had been run through with some confectionery sugar. Horrible experience would not return.Edit (In response to the restaurant owner):Proof to form here our proprietor openly flames me for "spending so little".Moreover I am not "publicly complaining", I am sharing my personal experience at this establishment. If you are unsatisfied with my comments (and others who are similarly unsatisfied with said establishment) my suggestion is to consider what was said and, in this case, work on improving your customer service both in-person and online in addition to the quality of the food in question. You may consider being a bit more professional, as well, as your response is the digital equivalent of stomping your feet and having a fit. Thank you for validating my claims so quickly, it isn't a surprise we were two of maybe 8 people total dining at this establishment at 7pm.(Addendum: Restaurant owner must have realized how poor his comments made him look and deleted his entire reply and put up a new one. I've left my response intact for posterity.)

I'm not a very refined Indian food connoisseur, although I'm a fan and eat regularly. As far as I can say, the food here is great, people are nice and attentive, prices are very decent. Totally recommended!

The food was okaish and ambiance was decent. The service is fine. We tried manchow soup (1.5/5), Sweet Corn Soup (4/5), Hakka Noodles(3.5/5), Harabhara Kabab (2.5/5), Ragda Patties (4/5), Paneer Chilli with Gravy (2/5). I’ve attached all the pictures in chronological order.

Originally wasn't happy with my first order but the boss at the register backed out the order and swapped it out for the buffet. The price for the buffet is really good. Highly recommend it and would do it again if I'm in for a big meal.

The food was so delicious here I thought. Everything was cooked fresh and was so filling, it was hard to eat it all. The staff were nice and looked after us well.

I always get takeout from here. I really like their appetizers. They're very quick too with them. I definitely prefer appetizers over entrees, vegetarian and non vegetarian. The entrees are just fine. Very generic orange sauce gravy for a lot of curries unfortunately. They give a complimentary dessert at times, which is sweet of them. They always replace my sweet corn soup order with hot and sour without asking which is disappointing so I don't order soup anymore. I do see them attacking people in response to people who don't have the best of feedback in their reviews which is quite disappointing to see. A decent neighborhood restaurant for Newport where there are barely 3 restaurants in the area.

Excellent food, every dish is gourmet n great service but two bad practices. They don't tell you drinks are $12 up from $7 once happy hour is over. Second, they charge a tip of 18% without asking you. The owners shouldn't do that, it's actually not legal to charge default tip in NJ.

During my trip to NY from UK, I was happy find this Indian restaurant near to our hotel. Visited twice, first for takeout late lunch at 4.30. Ordered extra hot Chicken and Lamb biriyani. Food was good but can't say tasted authentic. Seemed they are expecting tip to takeout order too, I skipped giving tip. Second time myself and wife went for dining. During our waiting time of 20 mins and service person has not even said hello or looked. He kept serving other tables. We just walked out.

If you like lunch buffet and enjoy popular Indian dishes this is the place. Out of the 3 Indian restaurants near Washington blvd this one is the best. There was a line to be seated for lunch.

LOVE this place! I use to order from a busy place in Hoboken but I got tried of waiting over an hour and receiving cold food. Found Raaz and I’m never going back. I get my food in half an hour (Im a 7 min walk away), it’s hot, and they include a free dessert. Honestly it’s a bit more expensive vs that Hoboken place but I think it tastes much better. It’s worth it!

When we walked into the restaurant yesterday, it was completely empty! But I thought maybe because it was a cooler day, everyone decided to stay home. Let's give it a try. Ordered lasooni Gobi - it was dry. The food was just warmed up and cooled down so quickly. Not to the spice level we asked for. The mixed vegetable was didn't have any flavor or seasoning, the vegetables weren't fresh. My pregnant friend has been having health issues since the time we ate the food. And me too!! We even had to ask for water to be served after being seated and they didn't serve it for 5 minutes!! Save yourself the time, money and health and please don't go here!!

I cannot for the life of me figure out why people are leaving negative reviews. The prices are on point for the area, the staff are some of the kindest people I've met in New Jersey, Raju and Saad take good care of me every single time, and the food is amazingly delicious. The lunch buffet is spectacular every single time. They truly cater to the customer and come from a place of authenticity and kindness. I really think people have only had toned down, Americanized Indian cuisine if they feel that this is lacking. I live close to Newark and the Indian food out there is way more expensive, and smaller portions. Definitely worth it. 5 stars every time.

This place was a big disappointment. Used to go regularly as it was close to office and the buffet was good for a quick lunch. Not fancy but standard fare that was ok. The buffet is back after covid with no appetizers and way fewer dishes. Naan was not refilled and despite asking for it they did not bring it to the table of 11 people for 30 minutes. Had to eat just rice. Will not go there again.

Everything was great. Food was tasty and arrived quickly. Service was attentive. Recommend the paneer kali mirch and butter chicken. The garlic naan was to die for. Great Indian beer selection too. Highly recommend!
