If you are looking for Italian food, Roman Nose is a good option. The menu offers a wide variety of classic Italian dishes, from pasta to pizza. The pasta dishes are particularly noteworthy, pasta is made in-house and serve al dente. We try the Tagliatelle ai funghi and the spaghetti a la carbonara and both were good. I got high expectations for the tiramisu (there is so many reviews about it) and was fine, but nothing extraordinary. The service at was good, about 20 minutes to serve the food. Credit cards accepted.

Delightful team last night with Claire and Anna. We'd never been there (not local JD folks!) and fell in after a great poetry reading at the Art House. Delicious dinner and wine, reasonably priced, every walk of life and age of customer. The staff were terrific. Well done!

The food was decent, but the overall experience was disappointing. Despite the place being less than half full, our food took over an hour to arrive, while tables seated after us were served promptly. The service, particularly from the host, was rude, leaving us feeling disrespected and upset.

Update post-pandemic.Things seem to really have gone downhill for this neighborhood spot. The caprese salad was cold and the mozzarella was hard. It's supposed to be room temp. The ragu Tagliatelle was a bit TOO al dente.. and the sauce was so bland I had to almost dump an entire salt shaker in the sauce. Overpriced and skimping on the ingredients. But at least the staff is friendly...Pre-pandemicGood food but terrible service. Long waits to get seated (even at the bar), and the bartender kept pouring free wine to a woman next to me who would clearly not leave, just to keep twirling her pasta forever just so she could socialize.

Love this cozy and amazing place. The manager and staff are simply wonderful, and the food is exceptional. We typically eat at the bar and always have fun and seem to make interesting new JC friends each time. If you want a real place, good vibes, no drama, great food …go here.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I had the mushroom appetizer and pesto pizza. It was all delicious. I had a delicious blood orange mojito mocktail. The service was goods. The ambiance is cozy. Street parking only like most places in JC. So make sure to get there early to find parking. Also be mindful if you cancel your reservation the day of you will be charged a $20 fee.

Where do I begin. Please order the zucca pizza as soon as possible. It's truly a beautiful pizza. It taste so good I ordered one for lunch then again for dinner. It even has butternut squash on it lol. It blended well with the cheeee and pancetta. Absolutely amazing. And yes I forgot to take a pic. Also Roman now makes great meatballs this place is just batting a 1000. I have about 4-5 different dishes from there. I will be a repeat customer.

LOVE THIS PLACE. Consistently excellent food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly and efficient service. Jersey City has many Italian restaurants, but we keep coming back here and have never been disappointed. It's a family-owned and operated restaurant, and you can tell. The pesto pizza is amazing -- all the pizzas are terrific, really, and are huge!

Fantastic house made pasta and especially a fan of their carbonara. Don't miss the pesto pizzetta!

I’ve been to this place multiple times before, love their pizza and pasta. This time however, had a slightly disappointing experience. I went there with two friends, so we were like 3 people. We were not hungry so we decided to have drinks and 2 dishes. After we finished our meal and headed out, this one lady who works there pointed out that our tip was very less even though we paid 10% of our total bill as tip. Never been told before how much to tip when we are less than 5 people. Is that normal? It’s not like we paid very less additionally we didn’t order much to begin with. She went on to say they get paid only $5/hr and that they make enough. Either pay them more or ask our employers to pay us more so that we can afford to pay 20% tip that you were demanding us to pay additionally. It’s not like food here is extremely cheap. Her comment really ruined our wonderful Friday night.

This place is gorgeous but past that everything was terrible and over priced. Charging the amount they did for the bread was not only ridiculous but had and icky air of greed. The server barely visited the table we waited nearly 15 minutes after the fire alarm to ask for the check. She had a small section and didn’t really make sense why she took so long to visit our table. The pasta was too soft and not worth the money. My partner and I spent about $100 and it genuinely felt like a waste of a date night and money. We treat ourselves occasionally and this felt like such a waste.

The place has a warm energy. The food was perfect, we had the meat and cheese board and the size was great for two, the pizza was so delicious and the spritz was so refreshing. Thank you ?
