The spicy lemongrass beef soup is dynamite- but as others have said $25 for soup is a bit pricy. If price doesn’t bother you, worth a visit!

Absolutely disgusting attitude, terrible customer service, their replies to their customers says everything you need to know and the FOOD IS SO MID for the price. Literally nothing about this place is worth it. Also small and crammy and will probably never expand because of its atmosphere and attitude

Worst service ever, the waitress has been mean since we got in, shouting at us when we get up and trying to ask questions and looking for restroom. The whole restaurant got quiet with her shouting. Definitely unnecessarily racism and rude to minorities. The restaurants’ reply means a lot of their manner. Check all Google reviews that complain about their service, this restaurant replied to everyone’s complaint with a revenge attitude. No apology needed, I should apologize that I chose this restaurant and even try to sympathize this young waitress might had a bad day.

Such a pleasure to be a patron at this delicious decadent authentic cuisine made by the matriarch of the family. The ambiance is so friendly, inviting and comforting. My family and I love this well cared for family gem in Jersey City, NJ!

No matter how good the food is, a business with poor customer service and an owner who is unable to take criticism will never succeed. I recommend this place only if you lack self respect ?

Updated after the reply:
After reading other 1-star reviews, I realized that my experience—though frustrating—pales in comparison to the way this restaurant has treated other customers (forcing parents to fold strollers with sleeping babies, not accommodating allergies, refusing to serve children). This place has a well-documented history of being unfriendly, rude, and inflexible. They adhere to a laundry list of rules with zero regard for customer experience. If you enjoy being treated poorly, then by all means, this place welcome you!

For the record, I do respect the policy against outside drinks, (even if I find it unnecessary). However, the way the staff handled the situation was unacceptable. Watching me like a hawk while I finished my last sip felt more like an act of intimidation than policy enforcement. I was deeply offended by their hostile and overbearing attitude. Just treat your guests FRIENDLY.

Disappointed by the Unwelcoming Attitude!

We were denied entry because one of us had a last sip of matcha latte in hand. The staff actually stood there watching us finish it rather than allowing us to come in and settle.

This kind of rigid and unwelcoming behavior is not what we expected from a place that supposedly values good service. It’s a shame because we were excited to dine here, but after being treated this way, we won’t be returning. Customer service should be about making guests feel welcome, not monitoring them for something as trivial as finishing a drink. Truly disappointing.
