It would’ve been my first time at this bakery, but due to the Person over the phone being rude. I won’t be stepping foot in this place. I called to see if Apple Pay was accepted, and if there was a minimum on Card payments as this is a mom and pop type of place. Both of my questions were answered, but when I thanked her for answering, she just hung up the phone didn’t say you’re welcome. Didn’t tell me to have a good day. Didn’t even say goodbye. Just ended the call hanging up on me. It’s extremely rude and unprofessional.
Delicious, good portions, good price
Greatest bakery in New Jersey! The freshest and softest bread I've ever had at a very cost efficient price.
world class JC institution and a bread-lover mecca. bread product is next level. sandwiches, cinnamon bread, standalone bread. all good. we try to come every few weeks. friendly owner.
i always reheat the bread when I come home. i don't know how he does it, but the bread still stays moist in the inside and crust gets light crispy on the outside (my guess they retain more moisture bc he uses a brick oven as opposed to an electric oven).
cash only.
My favorite little bakery in JC. Absolutely love the sandwiches, cookies, and rolls. Also, the owner is so nice. I really look forward to stopping here when I’m in town.
This is what I would call a community bakery. Delicious, seasonally-updated menus, and surprisingly cheap.
Vegan or not, their eggplant mozzarella breads are their must-try. The perfect combination of sauce and eggplant is pure majestic.
This place is a hidden gem that delivers quality sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. I’m working my way through the menu and haven’t been disappointed yet. We all know Jersey City doesn’t have good bagels, so I come here for a sausage egg and provolone on a roll and it’s perfect. For lunch, my favorite has honestly been the meatball sandwich - they’re tender and have a slight spice in the sauce. Turkey sandwich too! They can’t miss here.

I use to live down the street in the 90s from this place and would be there at the gate waiting for them to open most mornings. Looking at these pictures I want to fly from LA to there right now and get a stuffed roll, one of each! Miss it so much, so good and affordable. Thank you guys for serving the community!

A top seller. Smiling, welcoming and commercial. I discovered it by chance when I came to make change and I came back to eat its pastries and sandwiches which are excellent. Thanks to you

Unbelievable. Brings such joy to my heart to find placing like this still exist. The baked goods and bread are outstanding and it's so inexpensive I could not believe it.

I first started going there while in High School over 30 years ago. Still love the food. Favorite was, and still are, the stuffed rolls. Tried the apple cinnamon rolls this year.

Sandwiches were quite good. Mentioned in some of the reviews but cash only (there is an ATM at a different shop down the street) and there is also no seating nearby.
