Came across this restaurant as I was searching for Black owned eateries in this new neighborhood we just moved to. When we arrived, the exterior was a little off putting, LOL! So glad Shaun himself stepped out as well as a gentleman who came to pick up his order. We got to ask his opinion of the food. He told us this was his 7th time back so we thought, Let’s give it a try! $58 later, we got 3 meals and WOW! Delicious!!! Everything was so GOOD! Catfish, Yams, Mac n Cheese (and I am VERY picky about Mac n cheese), Honey Garlic Salmon, BBQ wings, rice and gravy and that cornbread!!!! Definitely coming back! I hope this review helps another skeptic not miss out on a GREAT SPOT!!!!! Worth the try! The portions are hearty! So glad we decided to give it a shot!!!

My second time trying the food simply because I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. because of the great reviews I read but I was let down again.The Mac and cheese and the cabbage is just tooooo Salty ??So If the cook happens to read this, Easy on the Salt.. Thanks

I just didn’t like the fact that the peach cobbler was cold and the rice and gravy taste like cardboard and the cornbread taste funny. My pork chops Mac and cheese collards potato salad were delicious! Oh and my uptown was great!

Smokey ribs, great mac and cheese, tasty greens, perfect turkey wings, potato salad, cornbread, etc. I honestly nearly destroyed the bag on my way home.

My husband and I wanted soul food and LET ME TELL YOU this place is AMAZING!!! I went in for beef oxtail and they were out so we got bbq jerk Chix wings with collard greens and Mac and cheese and garlic wings with blackeye peas and Mac and cheese. We were not disappointed at all the rice beans and cornbread that came with the meals was incredible. Thanks this is out new favorite place ♥️

The food is everything! The jerked wings are amazingly perfect, steamed cabbage is cooked the way I luv it, & the mac & cheese, OMG just like home, so cheesy. We drove down from PA just to try Shawn's Table! We choose the food & look thru Google, read reviews & go for it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent choice! Don't get it confused with the space, it's all that ?

I don’t even know where to start. Came here on a wym and a prayer. Pulling up I was unsure but I couldn’t ignore the reviews. BEST DECISION I COULDVE MADE. The outside was misleading but WHEN I OPEND THAT BAG.. SHEEEEESSSH! Amazing amazing food. I almost felt compelled to call this man and tell him how he healed my inner child lmao. Outstanding food. Outstanding. The price was EXTREMELY REASONABLE. The amount of food PLUS chocolate cake & carrot cake and two lemonades. WORTH EVERY PENNY. He will be seeing me twice a month. Guaranteed.I can’t say enough great things about this food. Places like this are so far and few in between and he hit the mark.
