Came across this restaurant as I was searching for Black owned eateries in this new neighborhood we just moved to. When we arrived, the exterior was a little off putting, LOL! So glad Shaun himself stepped out as well as a gentleman who came to pick up his order. We got to ask his opinion of the food. I just didn’t like the fact that the peach cobbler was cold and the rice and gravy taste like cardboard and the cornbread taste funny. My pork chops Mac and cheese collards potato salad were delicious! Oh and my uptown was great!
I just discovered this spot, and I'm sad it's taken me so long to go there. When you cook yourself eating someone else's food can be unique but.. please believe the reviews.. the food is excellent!
Smokey ribs, great mac and cheese, tasty greens, perfect turkey wings, potato salad, cornbread, etc. I honestly nearly destroyed the bag on my way home.
