Short Grain used to be one of my favorite spots in JC, but not anymore.
I ordered everything to stay, but the lady gave me my cappuccino in a to-go cup. To make it worse, it tasted like it had an artificial flavor added. She mentioned the sandwich would have melted cheese, but it came cold.
On top of that, the service was unfriendly. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Ordered the Coconut Curry Chicken bowl on Uber Eats and it was okay. No seasoning just bland. I order a Chocolate Chip cookie and i thought it would be a normal sized cookie but it was unusally thick and hard probably from sitting out all day 🤢. It would have been better if it was just a regular size cookie. I dont know this wasn't as tasty as I thought it would be.

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM HERE. I placed an order for delivery and the delivery time kept getting delayed. I contacted the restaurant and they said the order has been ready for a bit. So I called the driver to let them know. They went to the restaurant and the restaurant kept telling them the food wasn’t ready. This happened with four other drivers and after more than and hour and 10 mins the restaurant just cancelled the order.

Short Grain is a hole-in-the-wall spot with some great Banh Mi sandwiches. While not the best ever, they’re serviceable, especially for Jersey City. I’ve only tried their Banh Mi, but the other dishes look pretty good as well.

A small cute asian fusion brunch restaurant.
The portions are decent. You get a lot of food and vegetables. I guarantee you get full after finishing your meal.
Every bites were filled with flavor. I recommend trying their vermicelli bowl. They have more western options such as breads and eggs too.
There are options for vegetarians and gluten free.
The coffee could be stronger.
Staffs are nice and welcoming.
