Always saw this coffee shop while commuting to work. So decided to try it out. Only wish I tried it much sooner! Their coffee and matcha are the best! I tried their sober matcha with “white top” man that tasted so good. I also tried their sober shot. It’s like a sparkling water fusion with espresso shots and white top as well. Sounds different but it’s worth trying! I’ve tried different coffee shops in the neighborhood and this is by far the best! Look forward to trying their other drinks!

When I first discovered this place I was thrilled to buy a cup of matcha I truly enjoyed! However, the atmosphere slowly became less of a spot where I can work from home. Although the staff is nice, they are unaware of the unspoken cafe atmosphere, please be mindful of the noise level! The quality of the drink also is lost with each barista. One day it’s good and the next there is too much milk because of a different barista. I write this as a way to raise awareness to the owner.

Amazing place!! I ordered a sober matcha with almond milk and it's incredibly delicious, highly recommend! It's so easy on the stomach too and tastes like a melted cold milkshake 😊!

I got matcha latte - it had too much sugar in it. May be it was on me to tell them no sugar or less sugar in the drink. It’s a nice place to with bar chairs to have your drink inside. The place is clean and spacious and have some interesting choice of drinks as part of their (un)popular category.

Such great coffee and great staff! The coffee is huge and comparatively cheap for the neighborhood. My only gripe with this place is that they don’t allow tipping on the card- your staff SO deserves it! Bring cash :)

It was first time trying this coffee shop in downtown and safe to say will be my last. My first drink was the pink lady and I got it hot. It literally tasted like soapy spoilt milk and had succcccchh a bad aftertaste. It was wierd that when ordering the barista didn’t mention that it’s more of an iced drink. Anywho, that had to be trashed and had to get an iced latte which was below average (was way more milk than caffeine). Overall I’d say there are more options for coffee in the neighborhood.
this is my favorite cafe of all time, and i've been to so many in the jc/hoboken area. even in nyc, you wont find coffee like this. i think stopping by sober shot is essential to spending the ideal day in jersey city. service is always impeccable, they are really kind and every barista is good at what they do. while it may not be the perfect place to sit and work, it's definitely perfect to stop by there and then head over to van worst to enjoy your drink. i've been going here for 5 years, and while i've tried many things on the menu, you haven't lived life until you've tried an "iced latte with white top and sugar". give them that order verbatim, and watch your life change. you're welcome.
