The only restaurant we dine at in India Square! Literally here at least twice per month, and always our first choice when we want to stay in and order online. The food always comes out on time and delicious. We always get the special chicken biryani and chicken tandoori and they always come out flavourful and juicy. We’ve had their naans before too and they were also exceptional. I have noticed recently though that the food sometimes doesn’t come out hot.
My husband and I are introverts and we really appreciate the chill and relaxed service we receive. Not too pushy or hover-y, just comfortable. I also really love the vibe here! I absolutely LOVE that they show Bollywood on their TV! I don’t understand a thing, but it’s such a nice touch it makes the restaurant feel homey and local. A LOT of locals dine here too and the restaurant is never empty, if not full, so I think that speaks a lot about their food.
Overall, we love Southern Spice! Absolutely have been recommending to our friends, and now to all of Google!

I visited couple of Indian restaurants in and around jersey city but I like the food here, I don’t eat much spicy food but the people working over took my suggestions well and they made me food with less spicy and their special cauliflower appetiser is really great with some Indian flavours and I ended up eating their special Indian Biriyani which was mouth watering. So, they deserves 5 Star Rating. Thank you so much will visit soon.
