I have been coming to this location since moving to Jersey City about nine years ago this is my go to location even after moving to Summit. I still come down here. There has been quite a shift and employees and management, and I would have to say all for the better and change is good depending on the change in this case it is great Wendy, the store manager is incredible. She comes out of her way and goes above and beyond to make sure individual customers are taken care of to their particular needs and wants. She was extremely courteous to me and kindly introduced herself as I am also a small business owner I saw this as top-tier professionalism for people who give bad reviews based on speed. Please understand this is one of their very busy locations. There are times where your order is ready within three minutes sometimes it takes up to 15 minutes or so because they have such high volume in that moment I would hope that people can understand that that’s how volume works and these employees do not have paid arms, but they are working diligently to get everybody’s order out in a very timely manner without compromising the quality of their product. I commend what this location is doing and has done keep it up. The entire team deserves five stars.

The coffee here was good and it wasn't too busy in the afternoon, but the music was way too loud.

Starbucks in larger American cities have become a cheap, unattractive spot. This location takes it further with blaring, poorly suited music that forces many customers to drown it out with AirPods. It's distracting and undermines what's left of the coffee culture at Starbucks.

I've been going to this Starbucks for 5 years and unfortunately today 12/6/24, @6pm, I heard one of workers use a gay slur in conversation with the other. It was the tall worker with the long hair and facial hair. Very disappointing.

Horrible Service I ordered a Frapuchino they say they don't have a drink they recommend me a drink supposedly anyway and it was very bad cold whipped milk and I asked for a banana bread and they didn't serve it to me, I noticed that they gave everyone their drink except me then I had to wait for the bread because they continued serving as if nothing had happened and to make matters worse they gave it to me cold, I tip to top it off the same thing always happens in the different locations, moral of the matter I won't tip to see if they serve me good 😡😡😡

The food and service is as good as any Starbucks. There's a lot of space inside and usually plenty of seating, but the atmosphere feels a bit unfinished. They don't have bagged coffee and cups/etcetera out on the middle display anymore, so the store just feels kind of empty without that.

This is a recognition review for the staff of this location. I was born and raised in Jersey City. I now live in Kearny, NJ. Every time I visit and have a chance to stop at this location. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and my order is correct.
For some reason the location in Kearny is filled with miserable employees. I don’t know if it’s low wages, poor work environment, or just a lack of motivation.
I truly think the store manager or the regional manager of the Jersey City location, needs to transfer to the Kearny location. That team needs to be turned around and provided some type of training. Again Jersey City staff thank you for being amazing!

I have been living in this block for 2 years but have never met such a rude barista before. And the funniest thing is when I checked the review page, I saw someone had already reported the same problem a month ago, but it seems like nothing has changed. I can't agree more that he is a racist and deserves more ethical training as he acts very rude and unprofessional. I was the only female Asian customer at that time and he only ignored me. His ignorance was very flagrant. He kept talking to a specific customer for a long time during his working hours. I didn't get his photo but I remember he is around 5'7''~5'9''. I believe you know whom I am talking about since only 2 male baristas were working at that time and the other one is obviously much taller.
Today around 12:40 pm, after I got my pick-up order, I asked another barista if he could give me a straw, and then this rude guy came and said “I would get it” to his co-worker. However, then he immediately turned to a newly arrived male customer and started talking to him, asking questions like “Are you working out? What kind of workout do you like? Where you live” (I was like: excuse me?), Bala Bala, and pretending he had never heard my request.
This scene is sooo humorous. It’s the first time I've ever seen a barista in a Starbucks talked to a customer for so long, even if there are still many customers in the store (so it’s absolutely not an empty state). I would have thought he was networking with someone if he wasn’t working there with his outfit. He kept continuing such conversations with that specific customer, and finally turned to me and acted like he just saw me, saying “What can I get for you?… oh you could say loud” and quickly leaving.
I am just a customer and I have not argued with any barista before. I know everyone is busy with their jobs and I haven’t tried to bother anyone. And I don’t understand why I could have such a terrible experience.
This is the first time I have written a long comment describing my experience in detail. I believe that it is the good quality and sincerity that keeps the business running well, and I don’t wanna see a similar comment here NEXT MONTH as this neighborhood is diversified. I’ll never come to this Starbucks again.
