Forget going to Bologna for Bolognese....just head to Satis. Fresh pasta with a beef ragu...heaven. Great drinks and while we're at it...the patas bravas were better than some I had in Spain last year too!

Sweet little bistro. Food was outstanding. We had 2 specials. Whole branzino and veal chop. The tricolore salad was also very good. For dessert a pistachio cheesecake and a tiramisu martini. We enjoyed everything
Service was impeccable-always had someone nearby if we needed something but not hovering. Food was delicious. We had the duck croquettes, Brussels sprouts, and bolognese pasta. The croquettes were our favorite but the sprouts and pasta were amazing too. Excited to go back for brunch sometime!
The restaurant was absolutely phenomenal. The ambiance, the food, and the service exceeded all expectations. The cuisine is a perfect balance between elevated gastronomy and heartwarming delights. Please do yourself a favor and try the duck croquettes. The Grilled Duck Breast entree also stands as a highlight, with a balanced, complex, and mouth-watering combination of flavors. Their wine list is exceptionally well-crafted and diverse. But the shining star in this restaurant is definitely the service. Theo—who had every table in the main dining room—served us with flair, grace, and a sense of professionalism mixed with warmth while the team worked eloquently in tandem, ensuring every need was met. It was not until later that I learned he was the owner. To dine at Satis Bistro, you can truly feel the love and care put into this place, and I will revisit it as often as possible.
My friends and I thought the place was very cute, everyone was nice. The only thing that threw us off was when one of the workers demanded for a bigger tip and said what we gave was “weak”. I have never experienced that before. We easily could've just not given them a tip but we did so saying it was not enough when all they did was fill our cups and take our dishes away was crazy. Also do not get the beet ravioli, there is no ravioli.
Service was was exceptional and very proactive to all our needs, course by course. Our Server was absolutely superb. Her menu knowledge right down to the ingredients and flavor profiles, her very warm, pleasant and professional manner was spot on and fun from beginning to end as well as her and the staff's celebratory acknowledgment of one of my adult Daughter's birthday. The Chef and his staff once again amazed my Family and I from appetizers to deserts...perfection in every aspect!!! We thank the Satis Bistro for another wonderful evening and exceptional dining experience for all of us!!! FYI, the libations, spirits and wine list and menu is great too...

Our daughter's family lives within a half block from Satis. This is our preferred dining venue in Jersey City when we visit with them. They have an 18 month son and the staff at Satis are extremely helpful and kind with us as we get through a meal. The server this time was Juanna (not sure spelling), who was especially good with our grandson, Declan. This is on top of a wonderful menu and meal. Great place for dinner.

Theo describes the dish preparation that makes you want to order everything on the menu And his pairings of the perfect wine and/or cocktail to accompany the food is second to none He has tremendous passion on how he treats his customers

Accommodating us with changing the time of our reservation. Food was delicious and presented beautifully. Our waitress was charming and gracious. My only pet peave is that she did not take the orders of the female .guests first.
Lovely birthday dinner at Satis Bistro starting with the Burrata stuffed Zucchini Flowers that were delicate and delicious. We then had the whole DoverSole perfectly prepared in a lemon caper sauce served over spinach & the potatoes encrusted Salmon. We also ordered the roasted baby potatoes side dish. Our waitress Gianna was perfect as was the entire staff. Will definitely go back again

We had a wonderful dinner May 21st, 2024! I would go back here in a heartbeat. It's a lovely space with an interesting room, large patio under mature trees, and the food was exceptional-especially the apps. Atilla was our server and he was excellent: attentive & knowledgable. The hamachi crudo with a wasabi sorbet was delightful as was the risotto, pork, and the salmon was on point. We were so impressed with the whole experience that we will definitely be back when we next stop in Jersey City. This was a memorable meal!

Overall, we really enjoy dining at Satis. We started w/ the delicious heirloom tomato salad and we thoroughly enjoyed the roasted cauliflower salad — both can be shared w/ the table. The truffle-roasted half chicken is always a favorite and the potato crusted wild halibut was delicious & delicate. But, for the price, the salmon entree could be a little more substantial — ie: the veg is really a decorative purée on the plate, so we ordered a side of the Brussel sprouts. It's such a neighborhood gem and it's good to see it so lively on a weeknight!

A very cute spot for dinner. There was a very loud party going on in the loft area; I felt badly for anyone who came there looking for a quiet dinner out. The food was delicious. I ordered something off the specials and was brought a similar meal off the main menu. When I explained the mix-up I was told they were all out of the special, but they offered a free dessert to compensate, which was fine. I would go back (hopefully on a night where there wasn't a party going on!)

With its delicious food and excellent service, Satis is a true gem. Also, our party of 7, a final class meeting (from Rutgers-Newark), had no problems staying past the 2 hour window for diners. Everyone at Satis was welcoming and professional, and reinforced why it's such a great dining spot and experience.
