This is just the hotel free breakfast - it’s not open to the public

Great breakfast!

We stayed at the hotel for one night since we had a dinner party across the street on Saturday. It was just a nice, calm place to have breakfast since there wasn't much open right there on Sunday morning. The staff was very friendly. I had scrambled eggs with applewood smoked bacon, potatoes and toast, and my husband had the breakfast burrito, which came with fresh fruit.

I generally stay at the Courtyard when I am in Munich. This restaurant.bar straddles the Courtyard and the Residence Inn and really seems to be an afterthought for management. The food is ok, but overpriced. The service is friendly but unreliable, There are too many other places within a short walk to "settle" on this place.

Being a hotel bar, it doesn't seem to be under pressure to do particularly well. When I showed up at the hotel I found the check-in desk deserted and had to search around in the bar for staff, eventually finding someone that could check me in. I returned to the bar that evening for a drink, finding it deserted of staff again, having to enquire at the check-in desk if it was actually open. Eventually I managed to get a beer. Based on that service for the first night, I decided against eating there - I ate out instead. On the night I returned for a final drink I found a similar experience; it was often deserted behind the servary and when staff eventually showed up, the barman spent more time fiddling with the till whilst people queued for drinks. I found it quicker to walk out of the hotel and onto the next bar to get served. It really feels understaffed, or they're not really interested in turning a profit.

This review is for the Bistro inside the Courtyard Marriott. This place is a joke of a restaurant. Imagine a rest stop Starbucks with a poorly stocked bar and you begin to get the picture. They are counting on an endless supply of captive patrons so service and selection are very distant concerns. During my three night stay they never failed to disappoint. They have a breakfast menu but didn't serve it any of the days I was there. The reason given was that there was a small private group buffet. I guess the kitchen couldn't handle any more. There were premade sandwiches and fruit trays available. We stopped for drinks one evening and they didn't have any rum. They did have spiced rum but no regular rum. The "bartender" acted like we were being overly picky. Well spiced rum isn't the same thing. Kind of like a vanilla vodka martini or a fireball whiskey sour. The third strike was the coffee. They didn't consistently offer condiments. Some days no half and half, others no sugar. The containers of milk products looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks as the spouts had chunky dry curdled milk on them. The last straw on the last day which prompted my one star review was receiving luke warm coffee and being overcharged for it. Overcharged in the sense that they charged me for something that I didn't order, not that they charged too much for their crappy products and service.

I love their pizzas - the small size is perfect for one person. Our waitress, Latoya, was friendly and fun!

This is the restaurant in Courtyard marriott. Not very big but good for a quick meal. I did like their clam chowder soup. The chicken quesadilla is also good. Just wished they provide room service !

Located in the lobby of the Courtyard Marriott, right by the PATH station. It's not bad, especially given its in a hotel lobby. Had breakfast here because I was in a rush. The sandwiches are about $10, and are actually pretty decent (the setup of the place is very similar to Starbucks and it serves Starbucks coffee, but the food was considerably better). Staff were very friendly. My main complaint is the long wait time. Don't come here if you are in a rush, as its not "fast food"... I think it took almost 10 min for my food to be prepared.

Surprisingly good for hotel dining. They don't provide room service at this Courtyard so you can either eat in the dining area or bring your meal to go back up to your room. Here are the items I had during my stay: - Granola Yogurt Parfait - Usually with vanilla yogurt but one day they had banana yogurt. Comes with freshly cut strawberries and lots of granola. I had this twice and it was a good light breakfast. - Thick Cut French Toast - Pretty good. Comes with 3 slices and I got full after 2.5 slices. Loved that it came with powdered sugar. - Bistro Burger - Comes with fries. Lots of fries. The burger was simple but tasty and the sauce was a great addition. I want to say the sauce tasted a bit like a BBQ sauce but creamier. And the fries were cooked perfectly for me, lightly crispy on the outside. - BBQ Chicken Flatbread - Underestimated how large this would be. It could definitely be shared as an appetizer for 2-4 people but I ate it as a meal. Very thin but good and cheesy. - Chicken Noodle Soup - Pretty good. Didn't taste salty like canned soups do. Had lots of carrots and celery which was good. A cup is pretty large too so the portion was good. - Chocolate Chip Cookie - Large cookie that they offer to heat up for you. It was on the softer side which I prefer. Definitely not a crunchy cookie for those who like it that way. Overall, highly recommend if you're too lazy to get out of the hotel. Bummed they don't do room service but it's really close to the elevators so you can grab and go. Every time I got food it would take 10-15 mins for them to make which isn't a long wait (except for yogurt - that's pre-made and ready to go). They also have a variety of juices, milk, yogurt, and coffee.
