We wanted to stay close to our Apt. after walking all over NYC all day! Found the Franklin less than an 8 min walk away, cold and rainy, we just wanted something warm and comforting! To start with the soups ( Chicken noodle, and a Lentil soup) were amazing. I won’t lie and say I wasn’t disappointed that there was no French Onion available that night! 5 of us all got different entree’s from short rib ravioli to seared scallops, chicken parmigiana and Grilled hanger steak(cooked...
We came on a weekday for breakfast. We got the braised rib breakfast burrito and the chilaquiles verdes. The chilaquiles alone were enough to make us go a second time during our trip.
The only downside was the service. The first time we went, we were the only people there and the server was sitting down on his phone the whole time. He never really came to check up on us. The second time we went it was on a Saturday so it was a lot busier.
