My avacado toast was burnt to a crisp and completely inedible….the waitress said she would ask the manager what he could do, and then he never came and we got the bill in full.

This is probably the style, but I find it weird when you order a salad, and it hasn't been tossed. All the individual ingredients are in separate piles in the bowl, and the dish is so small it's difficult to toss it without making a big mess. They don't carry any hard ciders, which I find strange.

Went to brunch at Hamilton Inn and it was a pleasurable time. I found the brunch menu to be limited but the full menu was available which was nice. Crab cake benny was simple but good. The hollandaise was creamy and tasty. Cocktails were on point (the bees sting buzzed me!). Atmosphere was pub like, not too loud and more quaint than anything. Service was exceptional. Would definitely visit again for dinner, snacks, and drinks, but I wouldn’t say it’s a brunch destination specifically.

for you locals, I'm a full-time RVer who travels all over the country for a decade. This restaurant is a five, as are a lot of the restaurants around here that you all seem to rate 4.2. Count your lucky stars.

We came on a sleepy Tuesday afternoon. It’s nestled away v v close to the entrance to the Holland Tunnel, but in that part of Jersey City that was given to the one artistically-minded member of the city planning dept. Leafy and remarkably quiet, it’s still perfect for people-watching and has a delightful interior that is well set up for a Saturday afternoon carousing and chatting the day away.
The food was delicious and so well-priced: we had the short-rib grilled cheese, quinoa salad, chicken vodka parm and some roasted corn - and we didn’t leave anything on the plate.
We’ll be back on a Friday evening to test the atmosphere more fully, but a real gem in Jersey City.

Not a good experience when someone sits you down and never shows up to offend water or take order.
Meanwhile, another table was getting royal treatment.

Had a farewell brunch here for a friend who was moving to another planet (AKA Long Island). The food was....adequate, though to be fair, I only got the Caesar Salad with crispy chicken. I did appreciate that our server gave us a complimentary plate of Truffle Home Fries because she felt she had misrepresented how big one portion was.
Maybe dinner's better? Or maybe this place is more hype than substance.

I live in this building so I think by reviewing , Google will stop asking me to rate it every time I drive home..........but it is a pretty solid day bar with a cool vibe
Order the steak and fries which was drenched in some sort of gravy sauce which came cold as the sauce had stiffened on top, the steak was also pre sliced unlike the other photos here, and the burger was undercooked also tasting as if it was sitting around. The waiter was very apologetic, but the food quality and the price point do not match.
Stopped by after a day at the waterfront with our two small kids and had a great experience. The outdoor seating area has a fun, camping-style vibe with string lights and an Airstream, with picnic style seating, which was really cool. The staff was friendly and patient, even with the little ones. We had oysters to start which were super fresh and everything else we ordered was delicious. Drinks were great too. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Jersey City!
Food was awesome, service was better. Pat makes the best drinks and the service from Jade was pristine.
