We had just arrived in Jersey City from the UK and our dinner at The Hutton was just what we needed after our 8 hour flight. The service was friendly and fast and we were made to feel very welcome. The food was good and the atmosphere friendly and relaxed with sports showing on the screens. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here.
Small menu but done well. Beautiful space both inside and out. Great service. The inside can get a little loud but there's always the peaceful backyard space you can go to. The bartenders are creative.
Great outdoor seating area and the service was great. Food and cocktails were amazing. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable.
Although I made a reservation for the main dining/bar area and arrived on time, they did not have a table for us.
I typically love the Hutton, but do not recommend bothering with a reservation, especially for themed event nights. I drove an hour out of my way with two toddlers, canceling other plans, to reserve an indoor table for a music night and there was no effort made to clear a table for us, despite making my reservation for 'indoors'. When they said they would urge the previous party to move, upon coming back to check on the table, four more people had shown up - all eating food. So clearly, they were in no hurry. We left without ordering dinner.
My friend and I come here all the time, we can’t stay away ! We usually get the honey ginger wings for the appetizer and I usually get the chicken breast, it’s so delicious!!! My go to drink is the spicy watermelon margarita, the staff is great too. Definitely would recommend this restaurant!
Burger was 5 star, fries 5 star, guacamole was 4 star, just not thrilled with the plantain chips, ( most people will love them) wings 5 star just with they had more sauces.. I ate here 2 days in a row now. Awesome looking covered patio. So cute and welcoming..
Got charged 20% tip mandatory for ordering a gin /tonic and a glass of wine
First time here last night, and I really liked it. Great food, service and vibe. Plus a great live dj spinning vinyl!
Food was delicious but portion sizes for potato wedges that came with steak was very small. The place was busy and food came out a little cold, and the drinks were not great. But I loved the ambiance of the place because it was pretty and easy to have a conversation, and the food was really delicious! Would definitely go again when they are less busy (went for Mother's Day brunch).

Couldn't believe how amazing the food was here. I've lived by this place for years before it was turned into what it is today and was blown away. I came here in the middle of the week for dinner with by best friend and had the: Appetizer: - Guacamole dip with plantain chips - cauliflower (can't remember the sauce) Entres: - Skirt steak with mash potstoes and chives - Fish tacos Dessert: - powdered donuts - chocolate brownie (...yea we pigged out LOL) .... OMG WOW! WOW!! Is all we could say. Must try and we will be back.
Unfortunately, we had to leave early since our bus departure time was moved up. The staff and manager were incredibly helpful and when they couldn't switch our orders “to go” in time, refunded our check. Exceptional customer service and we plan to stop by next time we are in town to enjoy the food.
We loved the butter fish tacos. Best dish of the night. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Even made us a tea latte that wasn't on the menu. Great place for a last minute dinner resy that's low keys and good eats.
3 of 4 had the burger and loved it. I had the chicken sandwich and that was great too. There was live music on our visit which was a nice surprise. Our service was really good, overall a nice time.
Great food and superb service. Nice place to bring a small group for any special occasion.
