Laid back cash only dive bar. In the middle of all the action.

I used to like this bar but then on election night I was told by the bar manager the bar was not political (which I was ok with). Then Friday after the election a group of people came in the bar to celebrate Trump’s win. One of guys said directly to me how much he liked Project 2025 and when I gave him push back he cursed and threatened me with physical harm. The bar managed told them to leave and then the bartender said I needed to leave too and falsely accused me of saying something I didn’t say, then the manager told me to leave. The people who were threatening me were outside waiting to harm me and the bar manager didn’t care if i was physically assaulted.

I miss the old keyhole ... It was alright . The bartenders are low key maybe too low key they don't really have much personality . Gone are the days of Ray and the awesome place this used to be . Now it's just like everything else yuppified

Bless this bar. A truly wonderful spot for this neighborhood. A bar that makes me love Jersey City.

Good bar, but it’s missing a jukebox.

Lover of dives rejoice, this is your watering hole. No frills, cool windows, and a huge U shaped bar. Gotta love it

Good vibes and dive-y feel. Cash only. Bar layout is solid and you can usually find a spot at the bar.

If I could paint a picture of a festering hole it would look like this. ATM steals money. Beer was barely cold. People there sucked too.

Keyhole emerged as a delightful surprise for our nightcap, offering not only pocket-friendly drinks but also the warmth and attentiveness of a fantastic bartender. The economical pricing of their drinks was a welcomed discovery, ensuring a delightful evening without straining the wallet. The bartender's charm and attentiveness added a personal flair, turning our visit into a truly hospitable experience.A quick note for future patrons: Keyhole operates on a cash-only basis, so come prepared. Despite this small consideration, the overall positive ambiance, reasonable prices, and exceptional service make Keyhole a spot I'll gladly revisit for future nightcaps

Charming dive bar in Jersey City, New Jersey that fits the bill for your local watering hole. No glitz or glamor, but a ton of charm this bar is a place where you can unwind and catch up with friends. The "keyhole" windows are a nice touch to play to the name.
