It was ok…. extremely overpriced. Small portions. Decent food, not worth the 35 minutes looking for parking. Very disappointed
You can eat much better for far less in Jersey City.

The Roxy has a friendly and attentive staff, and the ambiance is nice, though they might consider dimming the lights a bit more, as it felt too bright for a dinner setting. Unfortunately, the cocktails were disappointing, with an excess of sugar that overpowered the flavors. We had the pork dish and the brique chicken; both were mediocre, and for the price, I expected something better. The carrot cake didn’t quite taste like carrot cake, with too much coconut and icing that overwhelmed the flavor.
A final note on the design: the knives, while from a good brand, have a rounded handle that causes them to shake back and forth on the table instead of lying flat, which was a bit too much. Overall, it’s a nice place, but the food left a lot to be desired. I’m glad we tried it, but we’re not likely to return.

Wow! Had an outstanding night at the Roxy and I think it’s been my best bite in JC.
Service was incredible, friendly, and attentive. We did go at an off peak time, so we got extra special service. However, I think at any time the service would be top notch.
The cocktails were excellent. Extremely balanced, delicious and amazingly seasonal.
The food was soooo good. I had the short rib special and I highly recommend it while it’s available. Absolutely delicious and the best short rib dish I’ve had.
I can’t wait to return!

The Roxy is definitely our new neighborhood haunt! We checked it out to celebrate my birthday eve. My husband started with the Light Rail Manhattan, which was a refined spin on the classic, and I the Greene Street, which was a light, refreshing, and delicious cocktail that definitely showcased the matcha syrup well. We also tried the Autumn Bee, which is strong and equally as good.
We then had the Mushroom Cavatelli, which tastes as beautiful as its presentation. The pasta was perfectly al dente; the mushrooms meaty and flavorful; the white miso delicate but present; the fried shallots crispy and well-seasoned.
The Octopus also shined. It was a nicely sized portion for the price, and cooked tender. Beans and Okra had a nice bite to them. Sauce was worth soaking up with each forkful of octopus.
Definitely worth trying! We will be coming again for happy hour drinks & apps and dinner date nights.
Vegetarian options: My Vegetarian mother would be satisfied with the menu options!

Great gem in JC, same chef / owners as Corto in JC Heights.
The menu has a lot of lovely southeast Asian flavors, including the cocktail menu - loved that.
Big fan of the fermented nectarine cocktail - lots of flavors.
My partner really enjoyed the shortrib special (like a short rib lettuce wrap). I liked the trout - butterflied with a creamy sauce.
The space itself is beautifully done & the service was friendly.
Bill was ~$150 for 2 people.

After having one of the best meals of my life at their sister restaurant, Corto, I had to try this place. And it was... disappointing.
The welcoming host was very warm and friendly but our waitress was in the motions of her job and we didn't really feel we were being taken care of.
I was in a party of 3 and we decided to split the chicken, pork chop and trout. Every dish was forgettable and the trout is pretty much what pushed me to write this lackluster review. Every bite of the trout had at least 10-15 little bones in it. Extremely unappetizing where I needed to work/dissect my food for every bite.
Came in with high expectation and wish I could have used the $80 I wasted here on a much better experience elsewhere.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.

I was a bit skeptical of this place at first but the food really surprised me. It was so good, I didn’t get a picture of it. We had the chicken and the potatoes. It was really good. The service was really good as well. Then served us promptly and were very polite. The atmosphere was okay. We tried a couple (3) of the drinks and we only liked one of them. But I’m sure they have other good drinks.

My girlfriend and I went to this with no expectations, just really wanted some good cocktails. Little did we know we would leave with one of our most memorable dining experiences.
Atmosphere was great. All staff were very friendly and accommodating, food is some of the best and creative I’ve had in JC. We had the octopus, oysters, halibut, prosciutto arugula salad with pepper jelly, skate fish (my partner’s favorite) and plenty of drinks.
Certainly will be coming back!

Dare I say the BEST restaurant in Jersey City right now? We couldn't stop comparing it to the experiences we had in France last year. The food and cocktails were unique yet so comforting. The atmosphere was cool and swanky but not in a *trendy* way. Special kudos to their Host who gave us the history of their two female chefs (whoo!) and their vision behind the dishes. Top to bottom the best evening out in quite some time!
