Fantastic food and friendly staff! Highly recommend their burritos, particularly the chorizo. Chips and salsa (verde) are great too!

really affordable food, very quick service. i got the fish (tilapia) sanwhich for about $5.00. the fish itself was fried well, with salt coming through. i asked for hot sauce and they put that on along with what seemed like a tarter sauce. my biggest issue was the fish was on 2 piece of white bread. this was very underwelming and not the correct bread for this fish. the fish was too big for the slices and didnt do it justice. maybe a roll would work better. id come back for tacos.

So I was out today searching for something different to eat today. I came this place while driving down Bergen ave. The place itself is small and dingy but I looked past that and ordered their tostadas de bistrec which were ok. Nothing to really brag about. When I opened the package instead of layers everything it looked like they just threw it on with no care very low vibrational. The huge menu they have aside when u walk in but everything is doubled in price. Which is annoying they dont care to update it although they are less than 2 feet away. When I asked the owner he became irritated like a child which was hilarious. Next time ill skip this spot and goto La Brujeria

A great Mexican option for our area. It's not just basic good. Although it may not look like your traditional Mexican restaurant, the food coming out of that kitchen is top notch stuff. The staff working there is very nice and accommodating. They are are always smiling and look happy serving you such great meals. This is definitely an Easter egg in McGinley Square.

Was in the mood for tacos and found Tlaloc via google maps. It's a hole in the wall place that's easy to miss as it is nestled on a busy street with a bunch of other small shops. The interior is old and not glamorous, but I was promptly greeted by a woman and then a man took my order and made the food. I went for chicken tacos, but the menu was plentiful in other Mexican type dishes- tostadas, burritos, etc. I waited less than 15 minutes and was on my way. Tacos came in 4 and were flavorful. Will definitely return to try more.

Was excited to try this spot but was very disappointed. Order the chicken tacos and I could barely finished. There were so many pieces of chicken where the skin was overcooked and hard to chew when I bit into the taco and then some of the skin pieces still had the fat on them, which was a very unsettling gelatinous feel when chewing. Tried to ignore but some pieces were big chunks and mostly just fat like the one pictured. I ended up eating them open face, picking around trying to find palatable pieces, which once I found them were decent, hence the 1 star. Nonetheless, not sure if I'm interested in trying anything else on the menu.

If you want authentic Mexican food this is the best spot in all of Jersey city, it's my obsession I've tried the whole menu and there isn't a item that isn't delicious. Friendly personnel and fast service.

Guy that works the grill and counter has the most nasty attitude. I asked him why he was acting the way he was and he told me not to go there anymore and uttered a nasty homopobic slur. The food is not that good either. Needless to say, I'll never go back and I would stay away from this place.
