Great view and good service. We went for lunch and I tried the salad with steak. The portion was good and tasted pretty well. My wife got the chicken wrap. My friend also tried the vegan burger which was okay I guess.

Beautiful views (but the hotel should wash the windows), good services. The server was doing his best with what he had and was very kids and patient. My avocado toast and eggs were good. The buffet options were good. Pastries were slightly stale. The place is OK, fine, good, but nothing extraordinary. We went there because of early 9am breakfast option and the views.

The view is fantastic but the menu is very poor and the service is just ok unfortunately. This place could be better.

as usual everything great. Had a reservation for 1:30 pm. Was told when we arrived that the kitchen closes at 1:30pm!! Had to rush our order. If kitchen indeed closes at 1:30pm then the last reservation one can make should be 1:00pm. Just common sense. Staff was great, and once we got our orders, we were told we could stay as long as we liked!

Enjoyed a pleasant view with friendly staff during our lunch at this spot. However, the food and ambiance were quite mediocre, lacking an upscale feel. It's situated in the hotel's breakfast buffet area, exuding a bustling lobby vibe. On the bright side, the price range is reasonable.

I'm surprised by the bad reviews, my experience was 5 Star all the way. We had a staycation at Hyatt with our toddlers. The breakfast buffet was great! Staffs are attentive, food was delicious (love veggies roast and pastries session). We eat brunch at Jersey City/ Hoboken all the time. Sure, you can find something slightly cheaper around this area. But it always costs us at least $50-60, and not to mention walking in the cold if is winter time. We spent $80 here, free of charge for small kids (thank you!), all you can drink coffee/juice/tea. Adults can get something filling and savory, kids can have yogurt, fruits and anything they want (anyone who has toddlers will know it's a challenge to make them eat). Plus an AMAZING view and not worried about being rushed. It was one of the most relaxed brunch I had for long time. Will definitely plan to come back!

I went at 7:30 am and they wouldn't open the windows for the view, and the breakfast buffet was cold already. Literally worst than free cafeteria food in an elementary school. $32 a person and an automatic 18% gratuity added? For what? Getting me a glass of water then disappearing? I felt sick the rest of the day after taking a few bites

We visited NJ for a concert and our host took us to brunch on the Hudson at The Vu. The food was excellent, the view was splendid and the service was immaculate. They were hosting a wedding as well at the time. Beautiful venue and again, the view was awesome! I’d definitely

The restaurant is inside the hotel. So we stayed here because of a wedding. I will say we arrived at 10pm from Connecticut and the Vu Lounge was still open. They stop serving food at 10:30pm so before we sat we asked if it was ok since it was so late and the waitress had a smile on her face and said "yes, go ahead and seat yourself."My wife got the Caprese Chicken (GF) and she loved it. I had the Tomato Basil Soup and the Vu Burger. The soup had so much good flavor and was hot until I finished. The Vu Burger was delicious. Ordered it medium and came out that way. I would recommend those two items on the menu. For breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised because on the website it says Saturday and Sunday only is a Breakfast buffet. So when we went down the next morning (on Friday) we were just prepared to order off the menu, but the buffet was open, so we did that. To be honest, you really can't screw up eggs and bacon and potatoes which is what we had. Eggs were fine, bacon was cooked to my liking and the potatoes were very good, mixed with onions and peppers. Solid breakfast.

I cannot speak for the restaurant, but my partner and I ate at the Vu cocktail lounge three times during our stay at the Hyatt and were blown away by the food and in particular the bartender, Stephanie. She was efficient and cool as a cucumber serving a full bar, and still had time to answer our questions about the menu, make us feel welcome, and to fix us some outstanding drinks--the Margarita En Fuego and the Tigertail were unexpected gems from what I assumed would be a mediocre corporate bar. As for food, the soy garlic wings with steak fries and garlic mayonnaise were somehow the best I've had in my life--again, from a hotel lounge of all places. If you're in the area past 9 PM or so when the kitchens of other restaurants are starting to close, please make your way to the Vu lounge and look for Stephanie, you won't be disappointed.

Everyone who ate here went to the bathroom within 2 hours of us leaving. Not sure what happened there. Food wasn't particularly fantastic at least the menu offered for lunch. Pretty underwhelming actually cause the seating area and view were fantastic. Service was

Though the food was good, the view was the star of the show. Panoramic views from The Statue of Liberty to the Freedom Tower, you're just mezmerized. And Gabriel was not only a great server, he's an excellent photographer as well. What an amazing brunch with out of town friends.

Reservation asked if was a special occasion, answered yes.. Anniversary. We were celebrating our 60th, but now mention or special treat. Why do you ask? Also the credit card machine was not working, so we had to pay cash. We did enjoy our meals and the scenery.

The Vu is inside the Hyatt Regency hotel in Jersey City. The food is average. The service is great, but the view of the Hudson River and New York City is spectacular. It’s a great place for wedding venues. If you plan to drive, I would suggest parking it at parking lot a block away. I think it’s called Harborside JC. You can use ParkMobile app to pay for parking.
