This spot absolutely slaps. The burgers and the mac n cheese with a beer on a weekday after work... SO GOOD! I even get delivery and the food is just as good as when u sit and get it in house. The burgers are so fresh every time so worth it!!!

This had been our favorite spot in the neighborhood for our weekly "burger and brew". Unfortunately they are increasingly understaffed during peak hours, which puts the staff in a bad mood and leads to uneven food/service (20m to order a drink while waiting for a table, entrees served before apps, waiting patrons seated out of order - the trick here is to pretend like you're in NYC and make sure they can see you prominently waiting at the entrance to not be forgotten. Maybe wear some kind of funky identifying item. Or, go off peak). 5 stars for the guy last night who was at least trying to triage front of house; otherwise, disappointing.

I just ordered from here and was initially excited. I have to say I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the portions for the price of these dishes. I got the Mac and cheese and for $15, I would expect a filling meal and instead got a half filled container of mediocre pasta. $17 for 9 small shrimp? Come on. I will say the fries came crispy and made up for the small size of the entrees. White Star Bar will not be getting business from me in the future.

The food is nothing short of exceptional at White Star. We do not get down to this part of New Jersey often, but when we do, we always make a point to stop at either of the white star locations.
The El Camino Burger is probably my favorite thing on the menu, and the runner is their street corn.
On the beer side of things, I would like to see stronger local beer offerings. The amount of macro beers on tap make this place feel more like a dive bar instead of the upscale pub that it is.
