Easily 10/10 and one of my new favorites. Having recently discovered a gluten intolerance, it's been difficult finding locations that can accommodate me! However, wisp went above & beyond to explain the menu items to me, offered substitutions of rolls to make it GF friendly, and even labeled all of the GF items (including GF soy sauce that I did not even know existed)!

Every Saturday the Wisp truck is located right outside my apartment. It's so convenient but dangerous as I'm always tempted to order. I've had Wisp 4 times now and every order has been great. The first time I ordered I was very skeptical - sushi from a food truck, surely it wouldn't be that good. But I was pleasantly surprised and I've been hooked ever since. The guys are are so friendly and offer greet customer service. They're so really quick. I order, take my dog for a quick walk and the foods ready. So far I've tried a mixture of the basic rolls and the specialty rolls and every roll has been great. I'm a big fan of all you can eat sushi from one restaurant in particular because you get so much food for a good price but I really enjoy adding Wisp to the mix. Prices are reasonable and you get big pieces of fish and you can really taste the quality. Plus I love shopping small/supporting a local business.

The food was very good. I ordered Two Sweet Potato Tempura Rolls and Fried Vegetable dumplings with an extra side of spicy Mayo. The items for $6.50 each and the extra sauce was an additional dollar, bringing the total to $20.50. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be prepared and is easily worth the little wait. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area!
Absolutely the best sushi in JC. Bowen goes above and beyond. Follow them on IG @wispexpress to know daily locations and hours. They at port lib every Friday. The level of freshness and creativity is absolutely next level. Get Hudson roll and Everest roll. We religiously get it every Friday.

I was so disappointed with the food. I spend 30 bulks on 6 orders of sashimi. I got a small box of 5 thin slices of fish and a very small piece of cooked shrimp. Not as fresh as I expected.I should not trust the review on yelp. This is so pricy and not worth it.

You need to eat at Wisp Express. For fast sushi, large sushi portions, and delicious rolls, Wisp beats all the fast casual places in Jersey City hands down. Their prices are great as well for the amount of food that you receive. You can't compare Wisp to Domodomo or Sushi by Bou because those places do not provide the same offerings. My favorites are the fatty toro sushi and the uni sushi (both are specials so look on instagram for when they have them available). The fatty toro is tender and the uni is sweet and not briney tasting. The Hudson Roll is my favorite roll. I'm fortunate to have them close to me on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Follow them on Instagram (@wispexpress) to see where they are each day of the week and their business hours. The guys are super friendly and great people all around.

I saw this food truck years ago in Hoboken years ago and completely ignored it because I didn’t think the fish would be fresh.A year later, a cousin of mine from JC told me how they have been ordering from this sushi truck and its one of the best they have had in a while.I tried their toro and it was really fresh. No fishy taste at all. Taste was excellent. Whenever I’m around Jersey City, I will stalk their IG to know where they are and to know if they have uni or toro. Staff is very nice and friendly over the phone.We also order the lobster salad, Negi toro, seaweed and kani salad, crazy shrimp, and wisp roll. All are AMAZING. But my fave is negi toro for sure! Must try when in JC.
