The pretzels are delicious, probably the best there is in JC. The BBQ is always great, but the wings are above and beyond. People who dislike beer and crowds will still have a good time here

Went here Saturday night for their Halloween party. It was awesome. Great music and vibes. Servers were nice and fast.

Zep is a great place to catch up with friends over a beer, to bring your dog or to dance the night away. There’s always something happening at Zep. Great pretzels and food, served late. Big selection of beers. Should I mention again dog friendly?

I went with my German boyfriend to spend Oktoberfest at this location and we had a blast. They have an amazing selection of beer and the food for Oktoberfest was just amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful no matter what time you go there it is family and kid friendly, and I really like their outside sitting area and they gigantic screens, just a wonderful place. I will be back.

Bear was good, but chicken schenitzel was not good. The pretzel was nice. The problem of this place is security. There was a creepy guy who cursed us just we rejected him, and he cursed us because we are foreigners and have accents. The worst part was they mentioned he is regularly doing this there!!!

Food and drink were great! The atmosphere was drawn down a bit with the loud modern music and televisions with sports versus what you would expect from a traditional bierhalle.

Parking: Parking is commingled with the Jersey Ave Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station. Free on Sunday, but not sure and other days. Street parking is also available around, but hard to find amongst the permit only parking.

Yosra and the event staff are excellent. She was always quick to respond to any questions I had. Everyone was super accommodating to our group. The venue itself is huge and has a great atmosphere. I highly recommend hosting an event here. Group size doesn't matter, big or small, all will be handled with professionalism and kindness

Update: Food quality has definitely dropped significantly since 2021.

Huge beer selection, both local, Belgium, German and corporate big names. Huge hall with plenty of seats and a large out door bar and beer garden. Food is a mix of US BBQ and German classics. The dry rub wings are awesome! One of these days I'm going to order that giant pretzel.

Great beer at great prices. There was lots of space inside and outdoors. It was really cool inside because it felt like an old timey viking hall. The beers come in giant mugs and it a really cool experience. Totally reccomend!

Fun little family and dog friendly beer hall, they serve a bunch of different beers on tap and have some specialties in a bottle. Their food is limited but is not bad, giant pretzels are good and the dessert cookie was good.
