Prices were outrageous, are we funding David Burks 68 foot yacht in the Caribbean? He is literally robbing the public! I will NOT be returning there again! He spread himself too thin by opening the G.O.A.T. Only to close it this year!
You are supposed to GIVE BACK to the public. NOT Break their backs with steep prices for a mixture of egg, milk, flour, sugar, butter, baking soda, etc!
YOU COULD DO SOOO MUCH BETTER!!!!!

Mid-morning on a quiet Sunday. I was suprised by the limited selection. Missing the excitement of checking out cases to make your pick.

We love visiting places that have been around a while. This bakery dates back!! We were excited to try their goods. Ordered several pastries and cookies, which were okay. We were not impressed until we had the crumb cake with apples! DELICIOUS! Moist and tasty and fresh. Loved it!! (We ate it all before photos could be taken, lol!)

I have cherished fond memories of Dixie Lee’s Black and White cookies for the past 65 years. However, after moving away and believing the bakery had closed, my sister and I tried various alternatives, but none could match the “original.”
Recently, I discovered that not only are you still in business, but the new owner stated he would not altered the original recipes.
We embarked on a road trip with great anticipation, only to find that he had indeed changed the recipes. Your cookies are now just like the others on the market. The cake has a lemon base, and the iconic semi-hard glaze icing has been replaced with regular icing.
WE WERE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and have live with the memories.
