I reside in Keyport, and I have driven to Brooklyn just to get an amazing oxtail dinner for over 10 years!!
I've tried numerous places far and between and none has never compared!!!
Until I found Jamrock!!!
Everything was Absolutely Amazing!!!

Not the cheapest option for dinner in the area but it sure is a good option for Jamaican food. I don't suggest the corn but everything else my father and I had was great! The plantains were fried longer than I would prefer but I'm sure that's just my opinion.

Food is always good. Made sure my family had some before they went back to Illinois
Omg !!! I usually dont like the bbq sauce on my Jerk ChickenBut this sauce compliments the jerk sooo much . Delicious !!! The Fried Sweet Plantains was very good and sweet enough. My children had the Curry Chickensnd the Beef Patty no complaints, therefore they must of enjoyed it .
I will order again
I take an hour ride to Jamrock Corner once a week! The food is amazing the prices are amazing and the portions are amazing ! The music and the set up that’s outside makes me feel like I’m literally in Jamaica ??

this place is the epitome of why black businesses don't go far in the industry. because what do you mean the hrs vary every day? If you want to vary your hours, you should cook from home and have an instragram account. one day they open at 1:30, the other one at 4pm, and must days they don't open at all. very unprofessional. I have placed an order on doordash, and my money has been refunded because even tho it's listed as open when the dasher goes to the restaurant is close. from the 2 times that I have been able to catch them open, 1 time the rice and peas wasn't even Jamaican, it more like dominican rice and peas I was so confused, I even thought this restaurant was a fusion rest. the jerk chicken, tho, the jerk chicken was fire ? ?, I could definitely recommend the jersey chicken, but the service and the "fusion" rice and peas not at all.

If you are not consistent with your hours you will not survive as a business. I tried ordering at 8:40 and they are closed already (hours day 9:30)... not good. I try and support local businesses but....
Restaurantji Recommends
Food is good.... If they decide to open or answer the phone. But most days they're closed or forwarding your call to V-Mail which says they're closed for the holidays.... ??♂️

This food was very disappointing, this was the second time I got food from this restaurant and my rice isn’t done again and the oxtails are tough and too spice , I eat Caribbean food all the time, I’ve never had spice oxtails unless they was on the menu as jerk oxtails . Never again will I buy food from here, I’ll take the drive to Perth Amboy

One of the best Jamaican restaurants I've visited. We ordered the large oxtail meal + medium jerk chicken + beef patties.First off, the pricing and portions are On. Point. The portions are generous, particularly with the oxtail. Both oxtail and jerk chicken were beautiful seasoned, moist and smokey (jerk chicken). The cabbage definitely had some TLC added in as well! The yellow rice was cooked very well. Extremely impressed with this restaurant and will be back when I'll on town again.
