I am extremely disappointed with the Kearny, NJ distribution center. My package has been delayed here for almost two weeks with no updates, and this seems to be an ongoing issue at this facility. The customer service has been horrible – no one is helpful, and I have received no real answers about where my package is or when I can expect it.

This is not just any package. It is a custom-made baby doll designed to be a replica of my daughter, something that carries deep sentimental and emotional value. To have it lost or stuck in limbo is devastating and heartbreaking. The lack of care and accountability shown here is unacceptable.

This experience has left me feeling helpless and frustrated, and I sincerely hope this issue is addressed so others don’t have to go through the same pain.

My appointments are always at 3 AM docs between 57th and 59. Drops to Cincinnati and Indianapolis. security guy very nice and professional. My expediter lady very nice and professional funny as well and the loaders are very professional and fun. I love this postal office very rare that these people are nice but this location everybody’s nice and professional with a big smile. as a truck driver for 16 years I really appreciate that guys.

Let's write a coherent review of what this location is and is not:

While I understand that USPS as a whole has been defunded and partially dismantled since 2016, I must say that it is still overall a much better service than utter disaster that is domestic FedEx (which is strangely a different actual company from FedEx International, which is great).

However, this review is specifically for the Kearny, NJ, distribution center.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS CENTER ZERO STARS I WOULD!

Almost every time I'm expecting a package and it travels through the Kearny center... something... happens. I've had packages sit without movement for days. I've had packages somehow get re-routed out of state, sometimes back to the origin state, sometimes to a completely different state unrelated to the origin or destination.

I'm currently waiting for a package that was shipped June 11th from Springfield, IL, and took 16 whole days to get to Chicago, IL, which is less than three-day WALK (I know this is a separate issue). After the package finally started moving, it left Chicago on the 27th and arrived in Kearny (via multiple stops) on the 28th, doing that all in ONE day. Here we are on July 1st and the last actual scan on the package is that it arrived in Kearny.

The most frustrating part is that this center is a 20 minute drive from me but it's not a customer-facing location. It does not have a customer service staff. It's a facility meant for sorting large amounts of mail for the region and moving it to where it needs to go, so unless you're a trucker contracted to move a trailer full of mail and packages there's nobody there trained to deal with you.

I'm writing this because I see so many complaints unrelated to the Kearny distribution center. They're valid, but they're no more helpful than rating a product one star because your package got lost, which has no reflection on the product itself.

Over the past two years I've shipped out over 800 packages and only had problems with three of them. However, packages coming to me seem to have issues, and most of them involve Kearny.

Kearny, get your stuff together. Anybody else with job performance like this would be fired.

I absolutely hate when I package goes to the Kearny distribution center. I NEVER get my items on time. The package gets stuck in transit at the Kearny distribution center for days before any updates or deliveries. Have some urgency and diligence when handling our mail.

As usual the usps drops the ball and lost my package. Seems the kearny distribution center is just like the Richmond distribution center, a hot pile of garbage.
