I loved the atmosphere and the owners. Great food pricing service.
Great food
Best Cuban sandwich around
Amazing. The food was outstanding; I've eaten there three times this week alone. The owner is passionate and deservedly vocal about his food. Great vibe, delicious eats. The empanadas and homemade lemonade along are worth the trip.
I had no clue that Cha Cha Cha even existed until YESTERDAY! I walked in and felt like family. Placed our order and not one bite disappointed. The cafe con leche was perfect delicious. Will most certainly come again!
We absolutely loved this place and will definitely become regulars now. The staff was super sweet and welcoming ! We have been looking for a good authentic cuban place and we finally found it! We had Empanadas , Croqueta , Vaca Frita and the Chuelta . Everything was delicious , you also can't forget the cuban coffee 😋

Much of the credit for Cuban food's increasing popularity belongs to the cuisine's accessibility and deliciousness. The Garden State, especially North Jersey, is where a majority of the state's Cuban population resides.
Voted Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in 2025 and named after a dance of Cuban origin that’s fast and upbeat, Cha Cha Cha Cuban Cuisine is located on Michigan Avenue in Kenilworth and is a cozy, family-owned, family-run establishment where I decided to have lunch today.
Upon entering this hidden gem as a first-timer, I was greeted by the staff and transported back to the island, which was brightly decorated complete with vintage Cuban photographs & posters, bar stools made from drums, and ceiling lights made of Cuban canotier hats.
The menu is full of classics—Cuban sandwiches, Croquetas, Tamales, and Ropa Vieja. It’s a rich and flavorful melange of Spanish, African, and Caribbean foods.
As an appetizer, I started with the Croquetas (one with ham and the other with chicken) accompanied by cilantro sauce or chili sauce. For the main meal, I decided on the Pan Con Bistec.
The meal was bold, tasty, served hot, and authentic from what I remembered from my childhood. The Cuban pressed sandwich was first quality, full of fresh ingredients, and very reasonably priced. It’s the pride of its seasonings, beginning with onions, garlic, and peppers as the foundation of every dish.
I had a great conversation with the owner’s wife, Dania, whose friendly and welcoming nature has complemented the Guava & Cheese Empanada dessert.
One is treated like family from the moment you step through its door, which I can recommend this place.
I ordered through Uber eats and o can honestly say I would never order from here. Ive had many Cuban dishes and I can say this has been the worst. I ordered the pernil and congri. The pernil was very salty and it looks like it was boiled instead of roasted in the oven. $20 for this trash. Never again.
seriously the best cuban restaurant in jersey. omg 😲 👌😍😋😋😋
I’ve been on the hunt for an authentic Cuban sandwich and had no luck until I stumbled upon this cafe on my Instagram feed. It looked so delicious that I just had to check it out. Oh my goodness, I’m so happy I did! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into a little piece of Cuba. The aroma was incredible, making me want to try everything on the menu. It’s a family-owned place, and I had the pleasure of meeting the family—they were so warm and welcoming. The owner noticed I had traveled quite a distance, so he kindly let me sample some of his recommendations for my next visit. I took my food to go, and even after a 45-minute drive home, it tasted absolutely perfect. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

All I can say is Wow, wow and Wow! Visiting here from Florida, my husband and I asked our friend for a good Cuban Restaurant recommendation. He suggested Cha Cha Cha in Kenilworth.
I, being second generation Cuban, did not expect the food to be as amazing as it was. My mom was the best cook ever and it was always difficult for me to eat elsewhere and be truly satisfied, so I must say that the food here is absolutely amazing! One of our orders was the Vaca Frita. Let me just say that not many Cuban restaurants have this on their menu as it is quite the dish to prepare. What a treat that took me back in time. The taste here is authentic. The service is outstanding and the staff genuinely friendly.
If you live in the area or are visiting from elsewhere, this is the place to dine.
A++ for great service, cleanliness, freshness of food and authenticity of my Cuban culture.
Goodbye, until our next visit to New Jersey!
