OMG, this is one place that is worth trying. Yes, it is expensive but totally worth it. I have never had a bad meal here. It is a BYOB yet still want to go here. Everything is good. There is a reason his vadoo shrimp beat Bobby Flay! It is so good. We always wind up taking home leftovers.
Food was good. I was with other people who enjoy this style cooking but I don’t care for spicy. I wish they would have a roasted chicken option—-not spicy. I ordered the scallops which was good. I gave it 2 starts for atmosphere because it was literally HOT as hell in there. The owner needs to invest in central air conditioning. For that reason, I will never come back in the summer.
I've been to Drew's more times than I can count now and it has never disappointed me (except for when the cajun surf & turf isn't on the special menu - it's the best!) The food and service are always great. I love how there are small changes to the menu seasonally and it is BYOB. This is probably my favorite restaurant in Jersey.
