“Initially, I searched online for a place that served lobster roll and this place came up, but upon arriving there and browsing the menu, lobster roll was not listed, so perhaps it's only a special on occasion. This place was recommended from our AirBnb host, and the other menu options looked great, so we stayed and had lunch anyway. I enjoyed my Bar A's Brisket Sandwich, which on the menu mentioned came with horseradish sauce and au jus. However, when it came to the table, it did not come with those described condiments, so I had to ask our server for both, and received them quickly with no hassle.
We arrived around 11am and it seems this place has it's regulars. The one positioned directly by the entrance was very quick to offer the four women who walked in some cocktails on his tab. We politely declined the drink and we resumed the rest of our visit without any issues from the other guests. If you like that kind of familiar atmosphere, then I would say they seem open and friendly to anyone who is a visiting patron.
My friend ordered the sliders and said they were the best she's had in her life.
Prices were definitely reasonable.“

“Cozy hometown atmosphere! A group of us had our Christmas party there and the owner, Kim met our every request! And of course Chef Mike delivered a fantastic meal. Our server, Hilary, was on top of everything. From our fireside table through dessert-equaled an excellent evening! Thank you for accommodating us and making us feel at home! Merry Christmas“

“Found this place towards the end of our summer rental in Manasquan. What a great find! we watched the Rutgers game and talked to Elise the bartender for quite a while. She was so nice! burgers were awesome. met a couple up for the week from Florida who frequent the Rail every year. we will definitely be back next summer! Highly recommend this local pub.“
“I'm there all time I love the place and the employees and I mean all of em .. from the security guys Jim, Jim and Daryll to all the tellers Angelo, Mike , Mike, Anthony , Joe , Zack, Diane , Q, Paul ,Adam and John .. if I missed any names I apologize but I really mean it this place is great and I love that it is so close... “I had the award cheeseburger. It was so good and the sweet potato fries were delicious. The salad was just OK, the lettuce was not great. The French onion soup was delicious.
The service was OK. The bartender only ever recognized one of us at a time. My friend would order and instead of also checking with me if I needed anything, I'd have to wait until she came back. It was just not standard service behavior, but with that said, it was just odd, not really bad.“

“This evening we decided to return to the Mantoloking Road Alehouse. We loved the small ,tender, succulent mussels from last evening, so we decided we must have another order this time Fra Diablo. Abel did not disappoint. The dish was the absolute best. We also ordered the pizza that was superb! Kristen was our server this evening, and her bubble personality,plus her attention to detail was outstanding. Evan our server from last night recognized us and stopped at our table to thank us for returning. Kristen even send over the mgr.,Stephanie, the manager for the night to say hello to us. Even the hostess recognized us as returning customers from last evening. We can't say enough good things about the quality of the food to the outstanding, upbeat service. Put Mantoloking Road Alehouse on your "To Do List." You won't regret it. The Best!“

“Nice surprise. Was there before this renovation. Family friendly place. Two bar areas for adult gathering with communal sharing spaces for meeting new people. Plenty of open space for tables. Live entertainment was nice. Not too loud and could sing along...Outside dining along the water, pretty string lights. Will go back during warm weather to enjoy the outside.“

“Came here for dinner. The place was packed! Was seated quickly, got one of the last open tables. Had their broiled seafood combo, stuffed scallops, and drunken class. Some of the seafood was overcooked. The clams were like rubber, the broiled plate was okay at best. The stuffed scallops were good. To be fair, I think that they were overwhelmed being the weekend before Thanksgiving. Our server was great but was beyond busy. I do love this place. Brings back memories. I would definitely come back.“

“Been going to Max’s since I was kid & they were on the Boardwalk. Still the best hot dog I’ve ever had. Also love their crispy onion rings, steak fries, zucchini fries & sweet potato fries. Other menu items look good however I cannot go to Max’s without getting their famous hot dog!“
