This is my fourth or fifth time here at Chez Alyce in the last 12 months. The food, and specifically the croissants (especially the almond) are wonderful. The service however is consistently questionable. Staff always cold and almost unfriendly. Place is wonderful in every other way. This should be easy to fix!

I can not speak more highly of the educational experience that the Chez Alice staff provided my French students. Upon arrival, student were presented with a personalized menu. Next, Chef Serge presented the meal in French and made himself available for questions so that students could have a true immersive experience. Beyond their hospitality, the food was of generous portions and extremely delicious.

Made the made mistake of getting a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. It came out to $16 which is insane. Meta and speckled have way better sandwiches for cheaper and liv and charlies is literally half the price. What a joke

This bakery/coffee shop had a nice atmosphere and a good selection, but the experience was a bit hit-or-miss for us. I ordered a parfait, which was okay, and my family members ordered tea and a cookie. The tea smelled wonderful and was probably the highlight.
Unfortunately, the cookie was extremely hard, not just firm, but rock hard. We asked our waitress if it was supposed to be that way, and she said yes. We even tapped it on the plate to show how hard it was, and it didn’t break at all, which was surprising for a bakery item.
Overall, the food and service felt mostly “meh.” On top of that, the counter service was quite slow, even though there were several customers waiting to order. The place has potential, but with fresher baked goods and more attentive service, it could be a much better experience.

I’ve bought cakes from the Princeton location for close to 7-8 years and recently from the Lambertville location. Cakes are high quality and amazing, very well made.
The breads - sourdough, focaccia and the macarons and the pastries are a let down. They do cakes really well, everything else is not their forte, not really worth the price and calories.

The pastries here are simply awful. We purchased 4 different ones at $8 a pop and they all suffered from the same dry, gelatinous texture and bland, dumbed-down flavor. If you've ever actually had really good French pastries (napoleons, eclairs, etc), you'll throw these away after one bite.

I stopped by Chez Alice Patisserie in Lambertville last Saturday during the Christmas holidays, and it was the ideal spot to escape the festive bustle of the town. The streets were lively with holiday shoppers, but stepping inside felt like entering a charming Parisian café airy and bright, with colorful macarons lining the cases like jewels and the sweet scent of fresh pastries in the air. The cozy seating and elegant decor made it a perfect place to linger over coffee and treats.
The menu focuses on authentic French-inspired baked goods, breakfast items, light lunch options like quiches, salads, and sandwiches, plus an incredible selection of pastries that changes with the seasons. I started with a warm quiche, which was flaky and perfectly savory, filled with high-quality ingredients that made it feel hearty yet light on a chilly day. Then I couldn't resist trying a few pastries: the buttery croissant was incredibly flaky and fresh, and the macarons were spot-on & that weren't overly sweet.
For something more indulgent, I shared an éclair, with its glossy chocolate topping and creamy custard inside, and finished with a slice of one of their signature cakes (the mango mousse was calling my name that day layers of soft vanilla sponge and bright, tropical mousse). Everything tasted refined and made in-house, highlighting the skill of their chef.
The whole experience was relaxed and welcoming, with friendly service that let you take your time browsing the display cases or enjoying your selections. Visiting during the holidays added a magical touch the powdered sugar-dusted treats felt like a snowy Parisian winter wonderland. Chez Alice is unpretentious yet exceptional, the kind of spot you'll crave returning to for a quick coffee and croissant or a leisurely afternoon tea. Highly recommend for anyone exploring Lambertville

Chez Alice is one of the few French Cafe/ bistro / bakery/restaurants in New Jersey. They have a very nice selection of baked goods. They're baguettes are excellent. I especially love to get the Brie on a buttered baguette here. Many of the desserts are delicious and beautifully presented as well. The prices are a bit on the higher end but you would expect that for this type of quality.

I went there today for a quick snack on a day out. The atmosphere was immaculate, the classic tea service was unexpected. The almond croissant was so good we had to get one to go. Then we got a bunch more stuff as well. The food looked amazing so we had to get Boston Cream pie Cheese cake and this black cherry Black Forest cake. Ok that’s probably not the name but just look at it. It’s gorgeous and delicious!

Overrated!!!!! The display looks amazing but after paying at least $10 for individual cakes I’m so disappointed on price and taste performance. We’ve tried at least 6 different flavors but all of them equally disappointing
