Price fix menu and BYOB. Cash or venmo only. Great service. The Owner personally checked on us regularly.
Parking: Street metered parking is closest but there is a $10 parking lot not far away.

We went to Brian’s for dinner Saturday night and we will never go back again. We were not aware until we sat down that dinner was a prefix menu at $70 per person. Portions were average size. We were surprised when we got the bill that there was a $15 upcharge for the steak entree, if it was on the menu then I missed it.I would have thought coffee was included but it was not. The chocolate dessert was that of a tasting size of which we waited nearly 20 minutes and tasted as good as a store bought from McCaffrey’s or Wegman’s.My halibut was ice cold and I had to send it back which meant my companion ate alone for part of his meal. We did not get an “I’m sorry but rather, ok I will get it heated up.”Our server did not even bring our check to us, someone we never saw presented it to us and never asked if she could get us anything else or how was our meal. Not the service level for a $167 bill. Brian’s is a BYOB so that bill is truly for a very disappointing meal. The sad part is that the restaurant has a very unique location and ambiance but at those prices there is too much competition and great restaurants in the area where service and food is consistently good.

I would highly recommend Brian’s at the grill. We had a really nice dinner there. I had the red snapper grenobloise, and my girlfriend had the lamb. Don’t miss the bananas foster for dessert. Our server, Patricia was super friendly and added to the pleasant experience.

No one can cook like Brian. His 8 course chef’s tasting menu featuring Jersey corn was out of this world. There should be more than 5 stars for this restaurant. We’ve been coming to his restaurants for 20+ years. Phenomenal. Service is excellent as well. Frank & Susan

Our meal at Hamilton’s Grill Room 20+ years ago had been so memorable, I searched the web to reserve a dinner for our anniversary, when we’d be staying in Stockton. Upset to learn that HGR had closed, I learned that Brian was back….at the aptly named “Brian’s at the Grill”, at the same great location!I love it when a restauranteur has the confidence to design a dinner service that he knows will serve his diners best. We appreciated the beautiful prix fixe menu, with plenty of diverse choices for appetizer, entree and dessert. I guess we’ve been married 37 years, since we made the same choices…tuna tartare and grilled Swordfish with a delicate lemon, caper and butter sauce. Everything was perfect…the mashed potatoes and al dente veggies …amazing. We enjoy bringing our own wines and appreciate when the restaurant focuses solely on cooking and leaves the wine to us. And Lambertville has a wine shop a few blocks away. The restaurant accepts cash, personal checks and Venmo. I actually found that refreshing, since Venmo is so simple and they made us well aware when we made our reservation. Many restaurants are now charging a credit card fee for the convenience of using a card, which they rarely disclose; we found using Venmo a great option.Of course food reigns supreme, but not if the service is spotty or brusque. Patricia is a gem and greeted us so warmly and paced our meal graciously. She asked if we wanted to move on to our entree rather than assuming that the kitchen’s timing matched ours. How often do you receive that type of treatment? We were stuffed after two courses and rather than pushing the pot de creme and bananas foster on us, again, she asked whether we’d prefer it in the restaurant or back at the hotel….and when we preferred the latter, she packaged them so we could take a breather! Pretty remarkable. We felt we had a new friend by the end of the meal….she is a real asset and has been with Brian for maybe 14 years(?). Front of house excellence complements kitchen talent at this special, twinkling place. We appreciated that we had the option of dining with them on a Monday night, when businesses may be closed in Lambertville or New Hope.Brian’s back and we’re so glad we found him and Patricia. Enjoy!
Dietary restrictions: Brian accommodated my celiac needs generously.

First time at Brian’s; everything was delicious. The table started with the mushroom soup or grilled shrimp; both hot and delicious. For the main courses we had the Snapper, lamb chops and short ribs. All were cooked to perfection and the seasonal vegetables were cooked perfectly! For dessert we had the Chocolate Pot de cream, Bananas Foster, Berries and ice cream and the cheesecake. We ate all the food from each course, not a morsel left on our plates. We will be back.
Food was very good, as it should be for the price. Service was poor. Waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come to our table. She then approached us like we were ordering at a fast food restaurant. Seemed put out when we asked a couple questions about the menu. Despite the small fixed price menu she couldn’t describe how the food was prepared. Rarely checked in on us. Busboy brought an ice bucket to the table next to us and asked whether they wanted it on the floor. Really??? Just not acceptable for the prices they charge! Very disappointed.
Marg writing here: They have a beautiful indoor/ outdoor room with pretty lights at ceiling. Very lovely. We were seated outdoors in the courtyard and umbrellas are fitted to provide lighting. . They've been at the new location 4 weeks; things are working themselves out. They were fully booked. Service runs at a slow pace, which i wasn't expecting and may be helpful to another. Between ordering and first course the wait was 30 minutes for example, and that may have been the cadence overall. From seating to the end, was ~3 hours. It's a BYOB. Plenty time to enjoy and converse! The mushroom soup was truly delicious. The grilled shrimp was yummy. The duck, veggies, enjoyable. .. the filet had good flavor,. I would've liked it cooked more, but it was getting late and I didn't request a further cooking. I enjoyed the berries and ice cream. Overall, we had a nice time.

Brians from Kline Ct has moved to Coryell Street… and it’s still absolutely delicious! Great prix fixe selections, BYOB, and friendly/efficient service. The ‘old’ location was nice, but small… the new location along the canal is wonderful and spacious - great because it allows more of us to enjoy this fabulous experience. We’ll be back again and again!

Eight of us had an absolutely wonderful dinner at the new Brian's at the Grill. The prix fixe menu provides ample options (and portion sizes) which satisfied all of us. The interior is slightly changed from that days of Hamilton's thus still beautifully appointed. The service was top notch, too, with a charming and attentive servers. I was sad to see Hamilton's close after so many years, but am now overjoyed to see it revived as a new establishment under Brian's helm.
Went here based on a family recommendation. Food was yummy, small portions but tasty. Service was lovely, friendly, warm. One downfall, hence the 4 star review. The one and only bathroom is disgusting. I did not want to use it based on the smell and appearance. Toilet and sink need a serious cleaning. I understand it was a Saturday and staff was busy. But it was gross and a turn off. Please be mindful of things like this..it really is a turn off.
As I woke up this morning I began to remember the dinner that our family party of five endured at the Hamilton Grill room on Christmas Eve. Yes, I did say endure. Even though we were able to change our table location in the restaurant due to the coldness, we ended up eating our meal with our coats on! Looking around, we noticed that others were doing the same thing. Needles to say, dining in the cold set the tone for the entire meal and it wasn’t good. Other than dining Al fresco while indoors we we lucky enough to pay $20 extra for this pleasure! After a while it seemed that our eyes were opened and we looked around us to notice how dingy and rundown the place had become. Very sad! Fortunately, within the Lambertville/New Hope area there are many other fine restaurants to choose from. Good bye Hamilton Grill Room!
My sister is visiting me here in Bucks County. We have been to eateries in New Hope and Lambertville, NJ many times, and have never been disappointed! We decided to try a restaurant we've never been to. Fortunately, Brian's in Lambertvill was open on a Monday evening. If we could give this establishment 5 HUNDRED stars, we would! The very best we have been to in years! The only problem we had was what to order, as everything looked fabulous!!! The price was more than reasonable, the service was unsurpassed, and the atmosphere was perfect. Unlike so many restaurants these days, Brian's was quiet enough to have a conversation without shouting! We will definitely be back. Thank you for an outstanding dining experience!

We’ve been going here for 25 years religiously 5-6 times a year. When Jim Hamilton passed and Brian took over a few years back things changed. Not so bad at first but over the past couple years its been downhill. But we love the atmosphere and have tried to hang in there. It all culminated tonight, Christmas Eve. We will probably never go back! We had a 5PM reservation. It’s was brutally cold tonight 11 deg! The restaurant was 60 deg inside but the waitress said once it fills up it will be warmer. The price tonight was $75 prix fixe with a $10 dollar premium for NY Strip. We started with first course, my wife sweet potato ravioli( she liked it a lot) I with lemon crab risotto, meh! Not bad not good, just ok. Our second course, my wife NY Strip medium rare, came out raw. Had to send it back, ok it happens. It came back still not done enough but she tried to persevere. I tried a bite and it was chewy an not mat all delectable. 3 out of a 10. It’s in a box in our fridge. Maybe some Peter Luger and I can salvage it. Next my Veal Rib chop. A small medallion of meat on a bone that was chewy and flecked with sinew. I actually had to spit out a big piece…though I’d choke and need the Heimlich! I honestly think Brian orders inferior cuts of meat and tries to get away with saving money. This was not the first time his meat has been crummy. Desert was OK. Pot de Crème good, Tiramisu average. Bill for 2 people with tip was $215.00. We brought our own wine. For that kind of money you should expect better. Again sorry to say we will never go back as long as Brian is the owner, and that pains me to say it.
