Everything, EVERYTHING they make is so wonderful. The salads are creative, use lots of seasonal ingredients. The pasta is wonderful. Gnocchi Vodka...OMG. The meatball, braised short ribs, sausage is truly special. We seldom go out but when we go there, the atmosphere and service are great. We mostly order to pickup. Never had a problem. Well worth the extra bucks compared to other Italian restaurants nearby. Go there or order pickup! No disappointment!

As someone who comes from an Italian family, THIS place has AWESOME food. There are so many restaurants serving “Pizza” and “Italian” food that just doesn’t come with the care and authenticity. Same old blah red sauce from a can, “brick oven pizza” that is charred to death. Tavola Rustica is NONE of that. Just great food and service with reasonable prices. Well worth the visit and my wife and I have eaten there a few times and are never disappointed. Highly recommended!

Tavola Rustica is a neighborhood little gem that seems to pop out of no where. For a Monday night, the place was seemingly empty but by the time it was 6:30pm, the place was jam packed. Fair warning- the place got INCREDIBLY loud to the point it was very difficult to hear one another across the table. The restaurant wasn’t overly large, but service was quite slow even for a Monday. BUT I will say that the food was delicious. Our table of three split the Jersey tomato burrata salad, including beautiful seasonal peaches. Don’t let the price scare you- it’s a massive salad, great for sharing. We then split the carpinone pizza and the pasta special of spaghetti with shrimp and vodka sauce. The pizza was awesome and my type of pizza (I know it’s subjective). Thin crust, crunchy but melted Parmesan, crumbled meatball and sausage. It was full of toppings but the crust still held up. The pasta was beautiful and super saucey. It only came with five shrimp which was a bummer, but the sauce was wonderful. Solid Italian meal in New Jersey.

First time experiencing this gem tucked away in Lambertville. Our waiter, Giovanni, was fantastic. A personable college student who memorized our order and recited it back for confirmation - got it perfectly! Delicious, authentic Italian food. Worth the drive or walk on a nice evening!
