Best bagels in the Sussex Morris area period. I grew up in Bergen county where the food is just better than it is in Sussex/Morris. The best bagels I've ever had are from bagel train in suffern, New York. They are doughy in the center but crisp on the outside. Pop's is the only place around that is even remotely close. They make solid breakfast sandwiches and deli sandwiches too. It can get busy at times so I recommend calling your order in for pickup.
Pops had a solid performance for a Taylor Ham, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Not sure if the Pork Roll was Taylor or Trenton, but they gave 5 slices that provided a good foundation for the sandwich. Bagel was good, above average. Place was packed and a steady flow of customers were coming through the door. Popular.
As a Wharton resident I miss running down the street to grab a bagel, but I’m so happy the second location delivers through Doir Dsdh so I don’t miss out on the best bagels in the area.
