Colombian Restaurants near Lincoln Park, NJ

We went on a February weekday (Wednesday Lunch time) and the place was clean, well decorated for Valentine's. There was a good crowd and I can see that the staff were all busy doing something work related. Our waiter was attentive and although his English was limited , he still made an attempt. The food was good- Bandeja de Paisa never disappoints. I like how this dish is consistent whether I eat it at their Hackensack location or Englewood location. For the first time I tried their calamari. It was good and I like the sweet chili sauce (an homage to my Asian routes haha). Overall a good place to eat!“

“First time visiting for me and my wife, as we walked in we didn’t know where to sit so we went upstairs. However, the server led us to a dimly lit corner despite plenty of tables available so we chose to sit downstairs instead, even though seating there was a bit tight and not very comfortable.

Our server downstairs was attentive and friendly, which we appreciated. That said, the overall atmosphere felt more geared toward guests with reservations for special party celebrations rather than people just for dining in, so we got the impression that we should wrap up and leave once we finished our meal.

“I’ve been going to this place for about 2 years now (I box at a gym nearby hence why I go so often). I come here about two to four times a week. The food is pretty cheap especially for its quality. I usually get the Yuca empanadas, beef empanadas, or chicken empanadas. Dessert wise I usually get the Tiramisu or brownies. I can say without a doubt it is one of the best places I’ve ever ate at. The workers are very friendly. Most of the workers know both Spanish and English too which is very helpful. There are plenty of places to sit and eat and it has a very welcoming atmosphere. They’re always playing music (at the perfect volume never to loud never to quiet). The food always comes out quick too.

Dietary restrictions: I know both the beef empanadas and chicken empanadas (and I’m pretty sure the Yucas) are all gluten free which has come in handy when I catered for a party once.“

“I go to the place frequently, it is good, good food and excellent service. I can't give it 5 stars for two fundamental reasons, the first is a suggestion, don't order a tray paisa because it doesn't have arepa or avocado, avocado is fine, but without arepa it's unforgivable and it's not that it's a spectacular dish, better try others things that are very good. The second is that the parking lot is a nightmare, I would like to go more often but unfortunately when we go and there is nowhere to park we have to leave, we don't live nearby so if you can it is better to walk, for us it is impossible, we have lost the trip there just because we can't park. I recommend the place with complete confidence.“
