My son stopped by there to have lunch with his girlfriend and was not impressed by the dishes that they ordered - it was a hit or miss with the taste and flavor. I had him bring me an order of Ropa Vieja and was disappointed with the fact the there was minimal shredded beef in the container. Very little meat but excessive olives, peppers and onions and sauce. It had great flavor but was lacking in the main ingredient, shredded beef which defines the dish. So in other words, where’s the beef?!! I do not mind paying for food that is excellent in both taste, quantity and quality but do not shortchange the customer because it takes away from the business and the quality of food that people are paying for. To charge for a dish that lacks quantity only causes the customer to question on visiting the business at a later date. Being Puerto Rican myself, I was thrilled to find a restaurant that caters to the Hispanic community but to then realize that the when a dish is made lacking quantity of what defines it….I would rather take my business elsewhere. If you advertise quality food but then skimp on the quantity of your ingredients will only cause the business to lose their customer base. I have been there twice so far with my family and will question on whether I will go back again. I hope that the owner reads this rating and make a difference so that his business continue to be successful.

After confirming my order with the waitress. She brings out a different type of food and forced it on me. My co worker ate it because it wasn't what I ordered. My co worker said the sauce was ok but the steak on the harder side. Did they hide a steak that was left out with sauce so we couldn't tell. Bad business. But the pork on the stick was good and so was the empanadas but overly priced for what you get.

I received a Gift Certificate for Christmas. I went on Christmas Eve not realizing that they had already sold out all of their “Pernil” but the owners were So accommodating that they made a way to make my order without any problems at all. When I went home the family was amazed at the quality, quantity and taste of this Caribbean fest! Thank you for being so generous and kind in your service. Because of this I will share there restaurant with everyone. This is a place everyone needs to experience. Pastor Nancy Correa Middletown Assembly of God 628 Palmer Ave Middletown,NJ 07748

I wish I’d taken pictures of the food but I didn’t. What I will say is that instead of 5 stars this food deserves a 10. It was so flavorful and cooked to Puerto Rican perfection. It tasted like someone’s grandma was In the kitchen. The meat was so incredibly tender that It would melt in your mouth. I could go on and on and on but just know it’s not just good it’s amazing.?

I came here with my family and the food was definitely delicious and authentic. My husband, born and raised in Puerto Rico, also gives his Boricua Seal of Approval. Will definitely be coming again!

My husband and I love this restaurant, its hard to find a Puerto Rican restaurant with class, plus good food. When we sit in a restaurant we want to be treated right. We were there Saturday and the food is amazingly delicious.I do have to say that it is hard to find a good Puerto Rican restaurant, with a little class, not too many out there, especially close to Manchester, NJ. The owner is doing a good job. The food is delicious too! We'll be back!

I have been to this restaurant now over 20 times, never stepped in to do a review on the place but when I decided to I can’t believe the reviews that some so called unhappy customers leave here. Personally I love the food at this place, the flavor is incredible and from my tasting the food is always fresh tasting. I understand that some may have their own opinion but as I see and can verify “being a Puerto Rican myself” I would have to disappoint my mom and grandma because the food is that good and authentic! , I had a group of friends that came for a visit from caguas Puerto Rico and made reservations for 10, as you would usually hear from Puerto Rican that travel to the main land “no Puerto Rican food taste better than in Puerto Rico, well guess what? They were amazed at every dish that was eaten, and Belice me we all tried and ordered almost everything on the menu lol, we asked to meet the cook and he was a young man came to our table and was very pleasant and thanked us for the praise, I asked the cook where did he learned to cook like that and he said it’s family recipes. Outstanding Restaurante Puerto Rico, we are truly sad that some not many leave such comments…. Blessings to your business Mr CJ
