The pastrami sandwich was really good. Probably better than most places ive been to. Just alittle pricey.Overall, you cant beat the pastrami sandwich.

Not one to bash places for there food but I Purchased two junior hot corn beef sandwiches and a order of kanish. Maybe I should have went with the pastrami because the corn beef sandwich was nothing I’d go back for. Chewy and fatty. At $10.95 a sandwich it would be nice to enjoy it and not be hungry after eating what was edible . Nice guy working the front counter. I know you can’t control the cut as you say in previous comments and you weigh everything but it would be nice to have less fat and more meat. Thanks for trying .

While I thought that the service was great, the food was lacking taste. I ordered the Goliath overstuffed and it was anything but. For a little more money, I could have gone to Harrolds delicatessen in Edison and gotten much more flavor and much more sandwich for the money. I will say the rice pudding was very tasty.

My husband and I were both very disappointed with our sandwiches. I don't belive the "overstuffed" is worth the money! The pastrami was lacking flavor, way to tough, more fat than meat. Even then though pastrami needs some fat to be really tender & tasty not like this!!! If I couldn't get to Harold's in Edison for a GREAT pastrami sandwich I would rather go ANYWHERE else!!!!

Do not waste your money! I ordered a large corned beef and pastrami. The sandwich had very little meat and the quality of the meat is poor. Not what you would expect from a true Kosher deli. AVOID THIS PLACE

I ordered a large corn beef on rye! Bread was fresh but corn beef was not cooked long enough! It was like eating a piece of shoe leather Il Never go back tasted more like a deli bought meat sliced and put on a sandwich. Yes may have been steamed but in a meat steamer Far from being a real steamed cooked corn beef sandwich!

Just unbelievable!Thought they finally got there stuff together and it’s was good for a minute.But after tonight’s meal me and my friends will not be going there again!We really needed a new place like this! But the sandwiches were horrible tonight, it’s like a bunch of kids running that place. What a joke!! We will not be coming back..

Poor, very poor service, bad customer service, food was not that good, salad had after taste. Went there with four of my co-workers, expend about $80.00and all of them were very disappointed with the quality of the food.
Great rye bread, bomb mustard, mediocre cold cut style pastrami. Warm coleslaw and the most old and saturated pickle I've ever seen.Minus the severe lack of chips, half sours, and affordable price, I enjoyed it!

STAY AWAY- When the restaurant first opened 2 years back it was great. A real NY Style sandwich... Was there in June 2021 and the pastrami sandwich was microwaved pastrami cold cuts on rye bread. The cole slaw was runny and just horrible . The french fries were undercooked. When I told the manager, he said we just changed the oil, they wont cook any further. - Go to a Diner for better. Very Disappointed!

Not only was the guy on the phone rude, they messed up my order 2 times. They have like 5 things on their menu how do you mess it up 2 times and then on top of that provide very terrible customer service. I was promised a free sandwich by the guy who messed up my order twice the next time I visit which obviously never happened just rudely spoken to on the phone. Next time for lunch I'll save my money from this poor excuse of sandwich spot and go to wawa where it's less than half the price and they won't mess it up this bad.Yes at Lincroft location.

Today I tried to give it one more chance. Wasn't happy in the past but I wanted a Pastrami sandwich so I gave it a go. I knew something was wrong when I walked in at 12:30 pm only to find only ONE other patron. I ordered the pastrami for take-out & when I got home & sat down to eat, I wasn't sure what kind of meat was between the slices of rye bread. It was sliced thin & laid flat, whatever it was. I was going to let it go but I now have an upset stomach so I decide to write this review.

Awful. If you want to call yourself Pastrami House, serve real pastrami rather than low end lunch meat. My wife ordered a Pastrami Sandwich and I ordered a Corned Beef sandwich. My wife thought they gave her corned beef. The staff was very nice giving her a replacement sandwich which was the same thing; telling us that corned beef and pastrami look the same. Whenever is that the case? This was like mystery meat and the corned beef was just as funky. The place had a bad smell to go along with it. Not cheap either $10 each for a sandwich that was very thin and of course made with the mystery meat. Never again.
