Excellent option for dine-in or take-out. Kimbap on point, friendly service.

The food is tasty, I must say BUT when these two women are there (because this wasn’t the first time they’ve done this to us), “the kitchen is closed” when we walk through the door at 8:40pm even though we called in advance, on the phone we’re told 9 pm kitchen closes and the hours of operation is until 9:30pm! Mind you, we’re watching one of them take an order from a couple who was JUST SEATED! Maybe it’s the color of my husband and daughter’s skin that makes it easier to turn us away? Wouldn’t be surprised. When the other lady is there who’s so nice to us, my family and I NEVER have an issue being seated. It’s unfortunate there’s still people who act like this, these days.

Can’t believe I haven’t tried their new spot before but this location is def the new and improved bunsik nara! This spot is so spacious, high ceilings, modern looking too

Would most likely come here for the street food tho cuz you can get the others at other places for wayyy better

Here’s what we got:
- combo E with the galbi and side of tofu soup 3.5/5: the price to portion ratio was a little disappointing because it looks similar to the BCD combo but for less and taste 100% better from galbi to tofu soup

- combo C with the fried chicken that comes with the side of cream spaghetti and fried rice 5/5: hands down reco getting this!! The chicken was tender and the portion was soooo generous

- gamjatang 2/5: so we asked the waitress what she would reco, either the gamjatang or kimchi fried rice and she said this over that so we decided to try it since it’s on the limited time menu and the portion size is indeed very generous but the soup was very disappointing, the broth was also mediocre. For Gamjatang we love “to sokchon” or “busan gukbap”

- tuna kimbap 3/5: portion size was amazing for this but not a big fan of the tuna and could be more spicy

We would come back to try the other street food items like the jjambong and fried rice tho!

I heard that boneless green onion chicken was delicious, so I submitted it and ate it yesterday. The meat was delicious and there was a lot of it, but the problem was the green onions. As soon as I opened the lid, the green onion smell was so sour that I couldn't even eat it. I thought I should wash it again just in case, but if the sour smell doesn't go away even after washing it, I think it may have been a long time since I put it in it or it may have rested. ㅡㅡ.. I emptied the container to wash the green onions, but is there old ooze at the bottom? There was also something similar... I went all the way to submit it just to have a drink over the weekend, but it only made me feel bad. I think I need to pay more attention to the purpose of the submission as well.

Saw that a new place opened by the HMart in Little Ferry so we had to try them!

They have a modern spacious space, it's bright and open. You don't feel crowded by other parties.

Service was good. The lady was polite. Just got to the point of ordering.

As with all Korean restaurants, they bring out Banchan once you are seated. We got a salad, pickled radish/turnip (wasn't really sure what it was) and kimchi. Salad was ok, I needed more dressing lol We didn't like the pickled radish/turnip what ever it was, it was too sweet... Kimchi was good.

Fried Shrimp with Chili Sauce was good. Shrimp was crispy and seasoned that you didn't need the sauce. But the sauce was so good. And what a big bowl of it! We were like did it come with soup? LOL The chili sauce was not as spicy as I was expecting. It's almost like a lightly spicy, sweet and sour sauce. It did pair well with the shrimp. The bed the shrimp laid on, I thought was fried noodles tasted like potato straws and with chili sauce was really good.

I originally went in going to order the tofu stew as I needed something soft after a dental procedure but when I saw the Gamjatang (Pork Back Bone Soup) on the menu I had to try it. It was a delicious choice! The pork was falling off the bones and the soup was so flavorful. It was a special, but I hope it becomes a permanent menu item. Because on a cold winter day, this would so hit the spot!

Short Arm Octopus and Pork platter was sizzling! Flavorful and spicy. Hubby's only complain was they put too much onions. I love onions so more for me!

Definitely will be coming back for more!

PROS: Very good food and portions for the price, always leave feeling satisfied. The atmosphere is also very bright and cozy.

CONS: Service and staff are not good. The first time I tried coming here was around 8pm and the staff turned us away even though they apparently close at 9:30PM. We’ve been here 3 times since then and the staff literally always give you a look as if YOU’RE the inconvenience that they have to now work. Don’t expect to be able to make any requests or small changes to a dish either. I once made a request to add an egg to my dish and the server looked as if I made the most heinous request. The owner on the other hand seems like a nice guy at least through interactions with other customers and social media. I only come back for the food when convenient, but I expect mediocre service at best every time I go now.

Just as good, if not better than the Palisades Park location. We've been going to Bunsiknara for years and never had a bad experience. 10/10 all around.

FEEL GOOD KOREAN FOOD ? This restaurant is clean, spacious, modern, and serves delicious food. We had the cold noodles, black noodles, and udon ? All the noodles were great and so were the dumplings ? But the star of the show is the katsu. Specifically the one with cheese ? inside, even if you can’t decide… just get one to share with everyone as a taste. Amazing restaurant! Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The soondubu was pretty bad, idk what ingredient they forgot but it lacked any flavor, depth or salt. The sujebi was good, and Kimbap was a pretty standard, in a good way. Wouldn’t recommend the soondubu but the others were good
