In line with the absurd tipping culture nowadays, I wanted to update this review by emphasizing that this restaurant's manager chased us outside saying that our 12% tip was very bad and made a scene outside extorting us to tip minimum of 15-20%! This was back in 2022!
The food was so-so, I could actually get a more flavorful Korean food in other places. The service was the worst! Our server was always in a hurry, not attentive and didn't even check on us, also very rude on telling my toddler to shut up just because she was being a toddler- happy and talkative but not being annoying. And who does that?
After reading other reviews, can confirm that if you are not Korean-looking or a POC, the old lady server won't care about you or your group! They are indeed discriminating who they they will serve properly. Read other reviews and I felt the way how they were treated.
Then when we asked for the bill to the manager because she was the one that we caught her attention, our server went to us and suddenly being so kind.
We gave a so-so tip (~12%) and left. The manager then was rushing to us outside and told us the server was not happy and demand us to tip minimum of 15%. I tried to tell her about our experience but she was already making a scene. It's like being held up or an extortion!
It was an odd and shocking experience!

Food is great, but tonight I came by at 8:30pm to order ONE Dish to-go, and the server refused and said the kitchen is closed, even though the restaurant closes at 9:30 and they still had customers coming in and seating.

Korean cuisine has a long and fascinating history that dates back thousands of years. The cuisine has been influenced by various cultures, including Chinese, Japanese, and Mongolian. The ancient Koreans were known for their agricultural skills and their use of fermented foods, which has had a lasting impact on Korean cuisine.
Although other East Asian cuisines such as Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese had long been popular in the US, Korean food has recently risen in popularity.
Located off of Bergen Turnpike in Little Ferry, this casual establishment serves Korean comfort dishes, and I came for lunch as a first-timer.
Upon entering Bunsiknara Plus, I got a table quickly inside a clean, well-lit, spacious, modern vibe and got a chance to speak with the owner.
The menu was diverse, consisting of multiple pages ranging from Tteokbokki, Kimbap, and Tonkatsu to LA Galbi Combo. There is definitely something for everyone. I decided on the quick meal of Pork Tonkatsu (돈가스) which was hammered thin, making it larger and thinner to maximize the meat and crispiness.
Complimentary Banchan consisting of kimchi, pickled radishes, and salad began the meal.
The food was bold, complex, and delicious, using a range of spices, herbs, and other fresh ingredients. The special sauce luckily came separately to avoid being soggy. As is common in many other Asian countries, a bowl of rice is of central importance and anchors the entire meal. The portions were huge, and the price was reasonable. The service was quick and professional.
I could recommend this place.

Pretty empty on a Sunday night so no wait for seating. We had the katsu and cheese dukboki. Both were good and this was one of the better katsus I've had that's not in Japan.

The tables were spacious and clean and stylish. We ordered four different dishes, each one tasted rich, and delicious. The friendly and smiling staff were a delight.

I went to eat at the restaurant a couple of months ago and had a pretty good tonkatsu, a just okay ramen and a pretty weird taste jajjangmyeon. I went again for a pickup and got two kimbaps (the shrimp tempura which didn't have any flavor except from the sauce which doesn't taste good, and the bulgogi which I really regretted getting, ended up throwing all the meat because it had no flavor and was super dry, I wish I just had the vegetable).
Great first time experience! Food was great and portions were quite large.

Absolutely amazing! The waitstaff were very friendly and kind and checked in to make sure everything was well. I had the shrimp fried rice and it was probably the best fried rice I’ve had. The atmosphere was very lovely, I can’t wait to come again!

You gotta try it. To me everything is delicious 😋
Food is good however the servers were not attentive. We came around 830 and they are pre closing. I totally understand that they need to do the pre closing but that should not stop them from delivering quality service to the customers for technically they are still open. After we order we need to always call the attention of the server.
