Assado Portuguese Steakhouse

We love Assado! The meals are consistently excellent. The staff is extremely attentive. We moved away from the area but will continue to go back - totally worth the drive.

Assado is the best. Saves me the trip to the Ironboud for great Portuguese food.

My wife ordered the paella which was a bit of a let down. The rice was mushy instead of having that perfect al dente bite. And I’m pretty sure the seafood was wondering what it was doing there. I ordered a T-bone steak, it was so tough that I could barely cut it.at least the service was good. Definitely would not return

Thought the food was just average. Had the shrimp and garlic sauce appetizer which I have had at other restaurants and this felt like it was heated in the microwave. The stuffed lobster didn't have much lobster.

The worst part was that my son had a glass of ice water, which essentially broke while he was holding it. It was very odd, and glass was everywhere. Thankfully, he was not injured, but there was zero apology or willingness to offer anything as a nice gesture. I also brought my own liquor, which I was then unable to drink bc there might have been glass in it. I was shocked by the whole experience. I would have comped half if not the whole meal - the customer service was poor.

Very disappointed by the management of this restaurant and as Livingston residents we will not be back.

There was a small communication issue we had with the price on a faded menu, however after speaking with the staff they were willing to honor the price shown on the menu. Very reasonable management and good food.

We absolutely love it here. We had such a relaxing dinner that was fresh, delicious and amply portioned. My husband was so thrilled with his skirt steak and shrimp and I was equally happy to have been served the Chilean sea bass. The server, Luiz, was so very accommodating and was willing to change the sides that came with my dish because of my preference. My appetizer was the grilled octopus - A must try. We have been here many times and always return never to be disappointed. We sat in the smaller dining room this time but there is also an option for outside. Do not miss Assado.

We truly enjoyed our dinner the service was excellent and the food was delicious.....we will definitely dine here again.

Amazing tasting food. Very friendly staff with an inviting atmosphere. Easy to get to with ample parking.

We had our son's first communion here. The food was amazing, and Wilson the owner, was very accommodating. The space was perfect for our needs, and they are very flexible with customizing the menu options.
We arrived to to it beautifully decorated and everyone raced about the food. Will be using them again!

Fantastic steakhouse with the feel of the iron bound without having to drive all the way to Newark. Outdoor dining is excellent.
