Quaint Italian hole in the wall serving up consistent dishes in a modest setting.
il Ripasso is one of the finest restaurants in Livingston, serving some of the freshest Italian dishes. One of the things that I find most admirable is that the restaurant doesn't try to be all things to all people, and, for the most part, it maintains the same tried-and-true dishes that have the same exceptional tastes every time. This allows the owners to control the quality of the dishes, every one prepared to perfection.
Excellent ...every time we go there.
It's hard to find a BYOB, table clothed, somewhat romantic and reasonably priced Italian restaurant in the area. It is pretty intimate and tables are lit with candles. The menu has a good variety of typical Italian fare and the daily specials add some additional flavors. The veal chop special was excellent and a pasta dish was cooked al dente the way it should be. The dessert selection is very typical of Italian restaurants and I don't think they are made in house. The service was great. It was a really good dining experience.
We had dinner there recently with a group of friends. The service was pretty good. However the food was just so so. Also when we walked in, there was strong smell of bleach. It was not pleasant.
Great food and service. Early bird special is a phenomenal deal. Eggplant rollatini was excellent as was the chicken piccata. If they have the rice pudding for dessert, get it! Loved the food
This is my favorite Italian restaurant. My boyfriend and I come here a lot for special occasions as I absolutely adore this place. Their food is always fresh and taste great! I love their fresh bread given before their meals. This place has amazing desserts as well! The Oreo cheesecake is excellent and everything is pretty much home made! Wonderful Authetic Italian. My only complaint that since they are family owned, they do get understaffed especially when busy which will cause an wait at times. Also, refills on soda are little to none as most of the time staff forget to check if you need an refill as most people byob. Deff an wonderful place to try as long as you have time to spare, and don’t need to rush out after eating. Great for romantic dates, large party etc.
Hidden gem. Must dine here. Wonderful food and great service
High end small Italian restaurant. This is not a spaghetti and meatball place, though someone in my party was able to order pasta with bolognese sauce. There was a number of fish dishes to chose from, by friend and I order the red snapper special which was delicious. BYOB.
Disappointing. Did not acknowledge a birthday, food just ok
