THAVMA Mediterranean Grill

The swordfish was very good. We've eaten here a number of times and have not been disappointed.

Great food and service in a comfortable space. Outstanding Greek salad. Love their Hummus.

We have dined here so many times. Always excellent. The best lamb burger ever! The veggie burger also superb. Chris is the most wonderful waiter, attentive and remembers everything to make your meal great. I recommend Thavma to anyone who wants a wonderful meal.

I was looking for a quiet place for a small family gathering and Thavma did not disappoint. We appreciate the ability to make last minute reservations online and found plenty of free parking when we arrived. The food was excellent; the grilled octopus and lamb kababs were our favorites. The portions were very large, and the deserts were very fresh. Service was friendly and effective. Would definitely return, also good for a casual client meeting, but do know in advance that it's BYOB.

It is good but I was totally taken back by a 4.25 ice tea. Wow prices have skyrocketed around L Town

Absolutely terrible experience! I've been coming to this restaurant for many years and it was wonderful. The quality has certainly declined over the last few months and today, I had to wait for over 10 minutes to get seated. On top of this, the staff was extremely rude with a very bad attitude. It was so intolerable that I walked out of the restaurant after ordering. Totally not worth the time or money.

Overall a very consistently good local Greek spot - the food is fresh and delicious, especially the appetizers. The avocado hummus and coconut shrimp specials were very good. Enjoyed the outdoor patio on a nice summer evening. Friendly service.

Made outdoor reservation for two and was stuck at a tiny table far back then waited 20 minutes to place our order. Food courses came out poorly spaced and was mediocre at best but yes the outdoor area is very nice. Don't waste your money on the tabbouli. No we won't return.

And I thought it was a total waste of money
I had a lamb shish kebab
I think they made the lamb walk all the way from Colorado
It was supposed to be medium rare it turned out to be well done, and it was like chewing on an old leather belt
They supposedly pilaf rice was unlike any other pilaf rice that I’ve ever eaten as it was tasteless
I suggest if you want really great Mediterranean food go to West Orange and eat at 460 valley Way

The food and service at Thavma was very good. It was a very good value. We sat outside on their patio which was lovely.

Food is excellent. Grilled octopus and lamb meatballs so juicy and tender. Our table ordered lamb chops, Bronzino, stewed lamb and rib eye, so delicious. My favorite was the rib eye grilled to perfection. We ate too much, but it didn't stop us from getting Affogato for dessert. The wait staff was excellent and attentive. Our food came promptly. We sat inside which was spacious and nice, however there was a really loud group that came and the noise seemed to echo inside. It got really noisy with just that group.

The branzino dish is my favorite-your chefs really know how to prepare it, and the potatoes, wow!! And of course we had the most wonderful waiter! He is always so personable, gracious and accommodating!! Can't wait to come back!!

Nice place to visit, good food, great staff.
