Thank you so much for a wonderful dinner experience over the weekend !!!I had one of the best skirt steaks ever, it was cooked to perfection and it had the perfect compliment with the yellow rice. ?The steak was perfectly seasoned, tender and was absolutely delicious. I will definitely come back for the skirt steak on my next business trip to New Jersey. Thank you again, the service was fantastic and looking forward to my next visit to Ada’s !!!

I was so excited to go to this place. I have to say the food was terrible. Rice was very good but I got a churrasco skirt steak that was definitely not a skirt steak nor was it a large steak. The steak was so tough it was not edible. Someone came over and asked how the food was and I told them how tough the steak was that I couldn't eat it. I would have never said anything. I just wouldn't have gone back. So nicely they asked me if I want the pork chops which I agreed to. The pork chops were also not edible. They were so dry. I have never had a pork chop like that. I thought one day we would go back and try the Ethiopian food because I'm very interested in it but the food was so bad I will never go back or recommend the place. The owner seemed very nice. The place was nice. The waitress was good but the food is horrible and I don't know why. Maybe they pre-cook it. Also, if you say it's going to be a skirt steak, make it a skirt steak. People are not stupid. You cannot put a chuck steak or a round steak in place of the skirt steak. By the way, the place was empty, we were the only ones there. Now I know why.

I had really been looking forward to going to Ada's, but I was so disappointed last night. I have to say, the food was amazing as always. The vegan empanadas are so tasty, and the vegetables with injera are always yummy. My friends also really enjoyed their meals. But wow, we had really bad service. One of the waitresses kept coming to our table wanting to clear plates and glasses and asking if we needed anything else. We werne't done! And when I say kept coming, it was several, several times. I am a slow eater and my friends and I wanted to have a relaxing and enjoyable dinner. The restaurant was nowhere near full so we just couldn't understand it. We said several times we wanted to chat and stay a while longer, but it just got worse. She said we could stay if we paid, and then came over and asked if we were stil chatting. It was not near closing time, and there were other people there that didn't seem to be harassed the way we were. I love Ada's and I wanted to bring my husband and daughter because they've never been, but I refuse to go through that experience again.

Injera is to Ethiopian restaurant as ramen is to a ramen restaurant. One time, We specially reserved and went for dinner. They ran out of injeras and served Ethiopian food with minimal quantity of rice & beans!Second time, we went after confirming, made reservations, and still they said that they ran out of injeras, so we left the place.Third time, for takeout, after confirming that they had injeras, we placed the order. However, they refused to give extra injeras even if we are ready to pay extra, so we ended up canceling the order. The owner is nice, but if you can’t serve what the restaurant is for, then sorry, you are losing the customers.

The Ethiopian food was AMAZING!!! We went with friends and none of us had had Ethiopian before so we were interested in trying it. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. The service was great although they were out of a few items on the menu so make sure you choose backups! The flavor totally made up for that though

The food was amazing. The service was not the best on the other hand. The server was rude and didn’t really care about us. It would make the whole place so much better if they had better service and music.

ridiculous experience. stopped in after work on my own. ordered a vegan messob for 1, the waitress asks me which veggies i wanted and i responded "whatever the kitchen recommends". (clearly she understood that i didn't want every item on the menu.) "we don't have the pumpkin." "ok, whatever they recommend out of the others" (again, clarification that i didn't want every item.) minutes later i was served an insane amount of food. first time here so i chalked it up to generous portions. proceeded to eat, literally the only guest in the restaurant on a saturday. not checked in on once during the meal while listening to the waitress and a young guy mess around on their phones, him super condescending to her about a litany of things (her spanish and what i've come to understand was my meal) within earshot of my table. i asked for a to-go box for the leftovers and then the bill came. $44. for the 2-person sampler. for one person. for one meal. (the waitress knew that's not what i wanted - she either ordered it from the kitchen wrong or the kitchen screwed up; not my problem.) older woman, maybe their mother, came to the table when i asked for clarification. the waitress sat with her back to me, didn't look in my direction or respond once during the conversation - she knew messed up. the rude young man did too. they were literally talking about it while i ate.i'm a reasonabled person and would've been happy to chalk it up to a miscommunication if the only 3 people i interacted with in this tiny restaurant weren't so rude. i'm pissed and have an ugly box of leftovers that i paid way too much for. for $44 i would have expected real service and a better experience / some level of professionalism. hard pass on Ada's Gojjo. it's a shame that the front of house sucks because the food is decent.

Ada's never disappoints. The foods offered, both Latin/Carribean and Ethiopian are made with fine ingredients and prepared to perfection. The staff, from Ada on down treat their guests with the utmost care and comply with special requests. The food is not too spicy in general, and the Latin flavors are so very authentic, no need to travel to enjoy the cuisine. The beautiful, airy space, high ceilings and decor are very welcoming. There is also, off street outdoor seating and plenty of parking. Cross the RR tracks and enjoy this special restaurant in trendy Asbury Park.
