Avenue was busier than I've seen before. We used all 3 menus... brunch, all day & prix fixe ... given to us. The food and ambiance were great as always; And our waiter ... new to Avenue ... was fast, got it all right, and he was a charmer. Perfect!
Wonderful value during restaurant week!!! Our goat cheese and beet salad was fresh and delicious...and large. We both ordered steak frites...which were once again large portions, freshly made and perfect... too much, so we took about half home with us. As for dessert...WOW! The best crème brûlée ever...definitely made with real vanilla beans, real eggs and ... the Chocolate Pot De Crème was also a winner...what a fabulous idea to serve 2 small desserts so we wouldn't...
We are long time customers of Avenue including our son's wedding. We have made many happy memories here and my wife's birthday this evening added to those memories. Sat at booth facing wonderful fireplace - great ambiance on the foggy evening. Asked for this table in reservation and restaurant kindly honored. It is ‘Restaurant Week', a great fixed price 3 course menu. We really love their choices from regular menu as specials for this week. We had shrimp cocktail...
