07/0/2024:Just heard the Hop Shing is closing. I have no idea where I will get Chinese food from. They certainly will be missed?
The Quillty of the food has change 3 to 4 years ago the food was 5 ? and above.
The staff was always kind and helpful. The food was always delicious. It's unfortunate that the store was always closed whenever I called.
The best Chinese food around but they closed without notice!!
Decent lunch special. Soups are not too flavorful
I pick up from there about every other week and their food is excellent. I particularly love the Hawaiian chicken and the house special Ho Fun. I order on line and it’s always ready within 15 minutes.
3/4/22 I have been their customer for over 20 years. In that time, twice, I have had food quality issues. Once, about 6 years ago, it was boneless spare ribs which made my dog and I have vomiting and diarrhea. When I called about it, the woman was so rude I hung up and wrote a 1 star review which I decided to take down out of mercy. ---Over the years I had told them many times how great their food was and even referred many customers to them--- During the pandemic (now years later) we ordered for about a year or so now and things have been fine. (We ordered about once a month or so.) --- I noticed the quality of the food was different: Ie: they use a different egg roll vendor and their dumplings are now different.--- Though smaller and not quite as good as the ones they used for years, they're still pretty good and I know there are cutbacks everywhere so it may not be their fault. --- Fast forward to a little over a week ago when I bought Sesame Chicken: large. --- My husband had to wait around after I'd paid online for about 20 extra minutes beyond what online advised would be the time for pick up. ---No biggie but it is relevant. --- When you call, though they always say "Ten minute" for everything so we know there's always a little wait. --- My husband brought the food home, *we Iive around the corner mind you on Atlantic*, and the chicken was very MUSHY and soggy. It was $15.00 for this inedible mush. (What I think happened is when it was cooked, since they put it in the container immediately with the sauce, it trapped steam and it made the breading mushy.) I called and the woman who answers the phone is very loud, harsh and quite rude. I explained that I love their food, described the situation and politely advised this was inedible. --- I offered to return it for a new order and she refused and told me they do not accept returns NOR give refunds! ---I responded hat I don't pay for food that is inedible and asked for a manager. --- The owner (a guy, very nice, forgot his name) came on and I heard the woman speaking loudly, rapidly and in an Asian language to him. --- He suggested he cook me a small order as they cannot accept returns. I responded: "You're a smart man. I have been your customer for close to 2.5 decades. Why would a small order suffice in this situation when I paid for a large? I can send you a picture to your phone to prove the circumstance?" He then insisted he was not going to replace the order so I advised if not, then I anticipate a full refund. --- After having to advise due to his unprofessional apprehension, that I ill call my bank, he acquiesced and transferred me back to the same rude woman whom he permits to speak to his customers so rudely and she "cooked your order and everything was fine! You did not order this before and so you do not know how it comes!!!" I responded that I am 51 years old, I know well what I ordered and have ordered this multiple times. She responded that I had not ordered this before. (I usually buy the sesame chicken). I then advised that regardless what the meat choice is, if it is mushy when I order, it is unacceptable and I was refunded. --- Then I was charged again for my full order. ---Their platform merges with the site to order which merges with Paypal. There was a doubly processed full order amount of $38 and change and I had to have the owner on a 3 way with Paypal over it. ---The woman on the phone is a very busy woman and we don't order due to her professional demeanor, it's for the food. --- 3/4/22: My husband called to order 8 shrimp egg rolls today and she refused him, thus why this poor review.

Favorite Chinese food in the area. Best crab rangoon.
Great family owned place, and the food is amazing. Me and my family love it, and I highly recommended the place.
Some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Their wonton soup is AMAZING.
