Ok... I'm not one to leave reviews, but this place definitely deserves one. I have driven out of my way to get BBQ. I have gone to Tennessee on my way to Florida just for some real deal BBQ. I have tried many BBQ places trying to find something close to the BBQ I had down south. Out of all the places I have tried this place takes the prize. The ribs are nothing short of amazing and the other meats and sides are just as mind blowing. I highly recommend Lava Pitt if you are a BBQ or Rib fan like myself. Long story short I found my go to BBQ!

The food was amazing my boyfriend and i both ordered the pick 3 and i got ribs pulled pork and fried chicken with a side of mac and cheese and i was amazing the food tasted so good the flavors of the sauce was great the service was also great. I recommend this place 100%

Best bbq ribs and pulled pork I have ever had. Sticky bun bread pudding with vanilla ice cream is devil but to die for. AMAZING STAF.

If i could give this place a 10 star i would ? ? ? ? ?. Went to lava pit tonight with my family and had great time. Everything was fantastic staff was friendly my hat goes off to the chef gabe he is truly blessed from god with the hand to cook because tonight i have found my favorite place to eat.

5 stars for the very good comfort food. But this is more of a take out place. They do have table service and the service is excellent. But food is served in plastic baskets, not plates. But at least they have real (not plastic) flatware!

Somehow found this place on FB and drove all the way from Cape May, NJ to check it out! Omg! Worth the drive.... the bbq was exceptional and our server was phenomenal!! Vince welcomed us, answered all of our questions and made great suggestions! The house horseradish sauce is a nice accompaniment to everything I tried it on. The mac and cheese bites were the best we ever had crunchy on the outside and gooey cheese on the inside add a touch of the horseradish sauce and flavor

Had take-out this time but we'll eat in on our next visit because the place is really cozy and fresh. Tried the brisket and Mac and cheese which were so delicious and seasoned perfectly. Cole slaw was good and the fries taste homemade. Staff was really friendly too. Awesome place, definitely going back soon!
