Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls

Loved the Connecticut roll!

I've traveled the north east. As an avid lobster roll guy, this joint wont disapoint. The people working will remember you if you frequent. I prefer a warm roll with butter but the cold roll also stands its own groud here. A very military friendly establishment, for those who know. Take care of them and they will take care of you.

Had the lobster roll here and it was fantastic. A generous amount of meat for the price and every bite was fresh and delicious. Great value and absolutely worth it if you are craving a real lobster roll. Great service too.

I've eaten lobster rolls up and down the east coast. Mostly in Cape Cod but also in Maine, Connecticut, NY and NJ. The hot lobster roll and the lobster salad rolls here were better than most places I've had it before.
The lobster was tender and sweet, the rolls properly toasted and rounded off the flavors nicely. I was really impressed!
To top it off the employees were really friendly when we were there.
I couldn't give the atmosphere 5 stars because it felt appropriate like a beach side place but didn't stand out.
Next time I also plan to try their lobster bisque.

Unfortunately there is no 0 star for rating them. So unfriendly, rude, mean staff are working! They are so jealous for the next door pizzeria customers. They are not letting you to stay(outside, public area) even with the little kids.

Worst place Ive ever been, not friendly and very rude staff i will never come back at this place!!!

Nice outdoor seating and food was great. Got the Connecticut roll, classic roll, fries, and Maine root soda. I prefer the chilled one way more. Service was good and quick.

This is the second time I've been to that place. I really liked eating lobster there, but on Sunday I had a very bad experience with an older lady who works there preparing it. I grabbed some napkins and got angry and insulted me very badly in her language (Spanish). Unfortunately for her, I speak and understand Spanish. It seemed disrespectful to me, but I didn't answer her because she is an older person. However, I felt very bad. A very friendly guy approached my table and apologized, but I told him it wasn't his fault. I think that person doesn't have the knowledge to deal with a customer and is rude and shouldn't be there. For the rest, everything was great.

You really do get a lot of lobster when you order the Bar Harbor! The classic style is excellent, unique with a light butter and mayo combination. I have eaten lobster rolls in Maine, and the one from Mason's could more than hold its own against any of those. The flavored lemonades are also delightful.

Masons is a casual place to get lobster/crab/shrimp rolls right off the beach or golf course and they do it really well. I went here in July 2024 and I live in FL and coming back in July 2025 was an absolute must since I was in the area. We split the Connecticut style lobster roll Bar Harbor style (50% more meat) and the warm crab roll with butter. I had to actively tell myself to eat slowly because those few bites were sensational. My family laughed at me because I said how much I liked this place all weekend, and I even found out that there’s a local “branch” near me in FL which I’m very excited to try. When I’m in NJ in 2026 I’ve already decided to try the sides and soups. Cheers!
