Service was poor. Appetizers were ordered and came out before we placed our entree order. We were eating appetizers with large bulky menus on our laps. There were 10 in our group, the entrees came out 4 at a time and it was 5 minutes between each time the others in the group got their entree. When the entree came out it was warm at best - not out except for the last 2. It took over 2 hours for dinner - we did not stay for dessert. The restaurant was busy but not crowded there were empty tables. Bread is not provided - you need to PAID for rolls - 6 rolls for 6.95 I guess you pay for being on the beach. It took a long time to get our drinks from the bar - only 6 of us ordered bar drinks.

Stopped in for a bite with friends before Easter. We got a waterview table and ordered a few drinks while waiting for food. The view was great, the restaurant was mostly empty, so we expected a great experience.Appetizers ordered were edamame, raw oysters, wings and flat bread. The drinks came out after 15 minutes [2 cokes and 3 beers].The edemame came first, luke warm but edible. The flatbreat was ok too.Oysters came out last for some reason, 30 minutes. They were warmer than room temperature and pasty grey. The tray did not have any of the usual condiments like horde radish and crackers. The onion and vinigar sauce had no onions. We rejected the oysters immediately - the restaurant did not take them off the bill.Wings came out after the oysters and were acualy cold. The kitchen must have thrown them into the fryer frozen. The nice waitress said that she will get a new order made. Few minutes later, the plate of wings was back. The kitchen had trown the same ings into an oven or something and put more sauce on top. The crusty, burned sauce from the first time was not apetizing. Asside from the sauce, the sings just looked nasty.Bottom line: Mcloons has terrible food. Never order anything raw here. Stop by for a drink and pizza to enjoy the ocean view.

I wondered why I haven’t been here in a long time and today just reminded me why. I ordered a steak “Medium Rare” it comes WELL DONE. I nicely say I asked medium rare. They said no problem. 5 min come back with the manager and he asks to cut it open to see. I do. I say it’s okay. I cut it again RAWWWW. Ice ice cold. I just paid my check $160 and got out of there. NEVER EVER COMING Back. EVER

Once you find parking (not an easy task) dining is fine. Service is attentive. Food was good and everyone walked away satisfied. Found parking in garage only to learn it's a flat fee of $25. Going to take very compelling reason to get me back there.

Service was excellent, and delicious food. Enjoyed the Pier House salad. Only thing i'd say is that the lettuce wasn't very fresh, and slightly wilted. Otherwise, excellent experience. Yummy pecan dessert bar!

Great view of the ocean. Hostess was clueless and uninterested. Outside table was broken and umbrella tried to blow the table over. We had to move to another table. $24 burger was overcooked and mediocre. Our water seemed inexperienced and not very interested. Overall, not in a hurry to go back.

DO NOT DO A BUFFET AT MCLOONE'S PIER HOUSE.IF I COULD UNDERLINE THAT SENTENCE AND PUT IT IN BOLD I WOULD.IT IS NOTHING BUT A BLATANT CASH GRAB.HORRIBLE OVERCOOKED FOOD. OVERPRICED.MISSING STAFF OR THOSE WHO COULDN'T CARE LESS AND WORSE: SEVERAL TIMES COMPLETELY IGNORED.In fairness, I should say, I have gone to this restaurant before and had wonderful food and service for the price. And it can be a tad expensive, but the view and the service make up for it. And the view is excellent.BUT AVOID THE BUFFET. THE FOOD IS LUKE WARM TO COLD AND YET SOMEHOW OVERCOOKED - in other words, over time the food becomes so hard it's inedible. (I swear a chicken tender my husband had could have taken out a good hunk of the table if he'd decided to slam it against it.) AND ALSO OVER TIME FOOD DISAPPEARED AND WAS NOT REPLACED. BY THE END OF THE BUFFET PERIOD, ALL THE DESERT WAS GONE WITH TWO PIECES OF CAKE LEFT. AND YET THE PRICE IS THE SAME -- i.e. IT MEANS A SEVERLY REDUCED CHOICE FOR YOU.AND YOU ARE FORCED INTO GIVING 20% GRATUITY AUTOMATICATLLY EVEN THOUGH a) YOU SERVE YOURSELF and b) YOUR SERVER WILL ONLY SHOW UP AT THE START AND END OF YOUR BUFFET SESSION.SERIOUSLY, THE STAFF MUST MEET IN THE KITCHEN AND LAUGH AT THE RUBES THAT DECIDED TO TAKE UP THIS OFFER.AGAIN, AVOID THE BUFFET.MANY OTHER PLACES ARE FAMOUS FOR THEIR GREAT BUFFETS.GO THERE INSTEAD.

Our family of 5 went to the Easter Dinner for a 7pm reservation. Expecting a clean, professional and delicious experience for $45 a person, our family was incredibly disappointed. Last seating was at 8pm- we had a 7pm reservation. As we went up to get a plate to begin our meal, it was not hard to miss food that was all over the tables for the buffet stations as well as the floors. We were in an atmosphere of workers “running” the buffet and instead of lifting up the tray covers that were covered? They stood behind and were on their cellphones goofing off. As we practically served ourselves, we noticed that many of the trays of food were empty. With disappointment, we moved onto the raw bar and there were three pieces of shrimp. We asked someone if this would be refilled, and she angrily said no. We asked another employee for the manager, and he replied that he was the manager, but not the manager, not sure what that means. Then, we went to the carving station, and there was absolutely scraps left so we asked the person working the station if there would be more and they again said no that’s it for the night. It was 7 PM. This was a horrible experience, and the operation was filthy. From a background with restaurant experience, I was absolutely appalled. There were at least five different utensils in some of the salad areas, clearly meaning that other people put their utensils in there. For some of the sauces, there were toothpicks stuck in them. Disgusting and UNACCEPTABLE. If you are going to have a buffet all day, you need to maintain it with cleanliness and higher workers that actually work to make a better experience for guests. If you seat people at 7, there needs to be food at 7…. What a waste of money.

Their Easter Brunch was very enjoyable. We were seated upstairs, we had a wonderful view of the beach/ocean. I loved my omelette from the omelette station. The peel and eat shrimps were yummy too. The roast beef was slightly overcooked but had a nice flavor. The waffles could have been more crispy but with the whipped cream and berries it was delicious. It was our second year in a row going for Easter. A great tradition in the making.
