Picked up some curry goat and jerk chicken on the way to the train. Was some of the best tasting food I have had all year. Will be back!

She over charged my husband and I for one plate of fish and bammy. Then started yelling asking which specific street in Jamaica he lived on! We're never coming back! Don't eat here go to Islander instead.

They always making food fresh but you have to wait 20-30 minutes. It’s not ok for takeouts. I recommended they need to do deep cleaning and they need to pass inspection. I can’t believe that how they passed inspection because everything not organized and looks dirty

The last time I ordered an oxtail dinner and requested sides the rice in my oxtail dinner was covered with fresh rice but underneath there was older rice that tasted funny and money was wasted buying the oxtail dinner because I had to throw the old rice in the trash.. If I'm asked to Pay $30 for Oxtails I EXPECT EVERYTHING TO BE FRESH AND GOOD TASTING!!

I used to eat here all the time and loved the food I had the absolute worst interaction today here not only did Norah purposely send out the wrong order because she said "there was no more so I gave you what I had" when I am allergic to what I was given but she came out took it from me and gave me an attitude because SHE gave the wrong order out. Her son was very nice and refunded me but she was just down right rude and disrespectful on top of that I am currently pregnant and what I ordered was my pregnancy craving but again she gave me food I am allergic too while I am pregnant. I literally had to drive all the way back after getting home because my order was wrong all I wanted was the right order and she came out and yelled at me saying "NOPE NO MORE EMPANADAS FOR YOU". I 100% will never eat here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone especially because they have no regard for allergies.

I drove over a hr yesterday because i was craving jamacian food and i wanted authentic jamacian food. I get there order my food to go waited over a hour to get my food. I paid 29.50 for ox tails barley got any cabbage. The ox tails were full of fat and so small i barley got any i pretty much paid for bones. I am not happy at all i called to complain and asked for a manager i was told no manager is available i asked when one would be and was told they didnt know then i was hung up on. I spent well over 100 yesterday as i bought more than one platter and none of it was worth it.

Went there today and finally I found a jamaican restaurant that serves well seasoned and a very nice portion sized entree in NJ!! I'm from Jamaica and honestly everything was excellent and I felt like I was back home on the island!! The owner and chef were very hospitable. I will definitely be back!!

Was in the area and searched up Jamaican restaurants, glad I found this hidden gem! Great food, will definitely be back!

We came visiting from PA. Lady working was so sweet! I got a large curry goat for $25 and split it between 2 people and there was still leftovers! This has to be one of my favorite places now and I’ll be sure to come back! Thanks Norah’s Irie :)

This is a great place to eat, and gluten sensitive safe! The owner is a sweet lady who assured us that there is no flour used in her kitchen at all. When we arrived, she was recovering from surgery and had to run the entire restaurant by herself (no staff). It didn't dampen her demeanor. It's as if she's YOUR mother - very sweet, very patient, and the cooking is GREAT. We ordered the ox tail (popular, it seems, as everyone after us ordered this as well), the jerk chicken, and a side of plantains. The jerk chicken did not disappoint. It's as good as any I've had in the Caribbean. She double checked my spice tolerance and produced a flavor explosion that I'm still thinking about hours later.

Definitely check this place out!

I have had curry goat and oxtail at Norah’s restaurant. The warm welcome I received was tremendous, thank you for having . Your food was delicious, time was spend on the Jamaican food true Jamaican dishes . If you in the area please stop and enjoy the ambiance.

Worst experience I've had eating in Monmouth county. The food is very clearly reheated and not cooked fresh. It is very likely that each menu item is days old and they keep reheating it. I was served cold Mac and cheese with hair in my food. The oxtail also had hair and was tasteless. If this food was free I still wouldn't eat it. On top of that the customer service is absolutely horrendous the level of laziness in this place is laughable. You walk in to an empty store with sticky gross tables and wait 10 minutes for Norah or one of her male family members to come out of the back and take your order. They then go back in the kitchen and reheat whatever slop is left from the day before and try to sell you more food then what you ask for. If you respect yourself and your money don't come to this dump. I have no idea how it's still in business. Guessing it's just fake Jamaicans who never had the real privilege of a home cooked meal.
