We were looking for a nice place to eat for our 41st anniversary and chose Rooneys based on location and ambiance. The food and views were fantastic! Had the tuna bruschetta and seafood cocktail for appetizers, very tasty! I had the mahi mahi broiled with mashed potatoes and asparagus. She had the tuna and carrots, also very tasty. LOVE LOVE LOVED Rooney's Came to Long Branch for a girls weekend. Made a reservation for Sunday Brunch through Open Table. The restaurant contacted me to inform me that brunch was unfortunately done for the season and wanted to confirm I wanted to keep my reservation. Their transparency was refreshing and appreciated. They went all out for the holidays, and the place looked great. This was our second trip in the last month and they’ve really stepped up their game. We have had the artichoke, crabcakes, Cobia , Halibut etc. they haven’t missed on anything. I would highly recommend if you haven’t been there in a while to give it a taste.
