First time there. Very good food, service and vibe
Based on the rave reviews we were looking forward to dinner at Salt. It was most disappointing. Beginning with the well intentioned waitress but uncoordinated service, my husband got his appetizer while mine came 1/2 hr. later, to the poor quality of the food. Passion fruit mojito was cloyingly sweet and that was the best part of the meal.
Fried duck on a waffle was overly sweet & chewy ; the duck in the gnocchi dish was chewy as well & the gnocchi tasted semi raw.
Black Angus Rib eye was either poorly prepared or poor quality of meat and at $89 a rip off. This meal cost us two &350.
We have reservations for tomorrow evening for 4 people which we tried to cancel 24 hrs in advance & were informed there was a $25 per person cancellation fee.
Salt steak house is the best!!! Peter made our night and I can’t wait to come back!! Best cowboy steak I’ve ever had!
Had an amazing dinner here! Peter and Juan were especially amazing — the whole staff was so accommodating and truly gave me a wonderful experience. My friends and I were blown away by how good everything was — our jaws literally dropped! We’ll definitely be back!
I had high expectations for Salt Steakhouse, and while the food itself was very good, the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the service. Despite having a reservation, we waited 50 minutes to be seated, which is simply unacceptable. A reservation is meant to provide a level of certainty and respect for the guest’s time, and this delay significantly took away from the overall enjoyment of the evening.
The ambiance and menu were impressive, and once seated, the food did not disappoint. However, it’s hard to fully enjoy a meal when you’re starting off frustrated and hungry after nearly an hour of unexpected waiting. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expect better time management and guest communication. Hopefully, this is addressed moving forward.
I wish I could them six stars or more and I didn’t even have the steak. We went on a busy summer Thursday night. Food was fresh and came out fast. Service was excellent. Place is very clean. Servers know the menu. Desert was one of the better deserts I have ever had in a restaurant. I’m upset at myself it took me so long to make it here. Looking forward to going back.
They don’t have the best name for no reason!!!!!

Going into the restaurant I was expecting a nice steak with ambience and good service. That was not the case for the situation. As much as the ambience was nice and the food was OK. The service was not. As I’m paying, they call the rabbi over to open the cash box I proceeded to watch the rabbi take some of my change and put it in the bar tip jar without consulting with . and 18% gratuity is already added onto the bill so for him to add more without my consent was not right. For anybody that decides to go to the restaurant, please make sure you count your money and do the math

You get what you pay for. Exceptional service and food is worth the price of the visit.
Parking: Off season street parking is free but it's limited near Salt. A short walk from the center of Pier Village had additional street parking. There is a parking garage behind Salt but there is no hourly parking just daily for $20.00.
